Replacing valve stem seals in 305 H.O. small block chevy from 1986 Monte Carlo SS
I'm putting the original 305HO back in the Monte after taking the ZZ3 out for my Iroc project. This is mainly to make the car mobile but it may end up tagged with this engine for a while. Previous owner reported that this 305 has over 100k miles on it and has been out of the car since 1997. He said it smoked during startup and sure enough the valve stem seals were worn out. Hopefully this will fix the issue.

Monte Carlo SS 305 H.O. First drive with the old 305 back in
For those of you who have been with me from the beginning of the installation of the original 305, here is the first drive. It used a lot more gasoline than I expected, so I'm not going to drive it any more until the new fuel tank is installed. Once that happens, it should be on the road for good. Seems to run ok so far. For those of you who haven't been following, this engine is the original engine that was removed from the car in 1998 when a crate motor was installed by the original owner. When I bought the car earlier this year, he also gave me the original engine. The ZZ3 came out for use in my turbo Iroc project, so for now the 305 goes back in the Monte until the new engine is built.

FOR SALE 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe Rare! Ttops DONK! 20 Inch Rims!!! $6500 obo SOLD!!!
Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GBodyAssociation THIS MONTE CARLO SS IS SOLD, HOWEVER I CURRENTLY AM SELLING MY SILVER 1987 MONTE CARLO SS WITH TTOPS. Up for sale is a 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe. It is in great condition and only selling it because I need the money. I have owned this car for two years now and would trust it to drive anywhere. It is very reliable. I have won many trophies with it, at local carshows and it is defiantly a head turner. It has Brand New Paint, which is very shiny and looks great. I had the windows professionally tinted last fall. It has 20 inch Eagle Alloy Series 212 Rims on it, with Hankook tires. The rims were purchased from Summit Racing for $1165 (receipts to prove it) and tires from Discount Tire Direct for $879. So the whole wheel package cost me $2044. Also, with the wheels, I installed Hotchkis lowering springs. (2 inch in front and 1 inch in rear). Looks great and doesn't ride bad either! I also replaced all of the stock speakers with Pioneer speakers. They sound great. Also, in the trunk is a Bazooka Amp and a Kicker Sub. Car has a Flowmaster Catback Exhaust system, so it will still pass emissions test. The owner before me put in a car alarm, with two keyless entrée remotes. Just recently went through the brakes so its ready to go! Engine rebuild part 1
This series is available on DVD Here is the link http://realfixesrealfast.com/realfixesrealfast.com/Repairs/Pages/Rebuilding _an_engine.html We are rebuilding a GM 350 5.7 engine. Now in this particular case we are also going to upgrade the engine to a 383 6.0 This is called building a "stroker" motor. In other words we are increasing the "stroke" of the engine which increased the torq & horsepower. If you are able & wanting to rebuild an engine, this video should give you a good overview of what to do. If you are having someone else build an engine for you, you will be able to see what's involved in the process

It is equipped with a built 305 4bb, automatic transmission, working factory tachometer, Sony CD player, air conditioning, power disk brakes, tilt wheel, power steering, and rally rims with RWL tires. This is a great running and driving car that handles the road wonderfully. It has a very nice black finish laid over a very solid and straight body.
