This car is currently owned by Walt Bailey restored and certified by Richard Ruth who built the cars originally.It was being unload @ Tulsa Raceway Park for display at the Second Annual "Duck Drags" June 28, 2009

1955 Chevy Gasser Pro Street,.. future project
We picked this up in Dayton, Texas.. It's a 1955 Chevrolet 2 door hardtop BelAir.. It looks a lot worse than it is, the floor pans are the worse thing about it, but once we get the body off the frame it won't be so bad., We'll probably put the body on a rotessire and turn it upside down to work on it.. We're going to use a straight axle out of one of our early '50's Chevy pickups.. The rear end will be a 12 bolt posi track Olds, with 456 gears, and ladder bars..We'll build a 350 Chevy small bolt stroker for it, with a Muncie 4 speed transmission.. We're not going to run a front bumper. It will have a nice hood scoop, the car will have a good stance, and plenty of meat for the rear tires.
