0-60 test with 1976 Ford LTD Country Squire with pimped 460 engine 1
Test run with my new 460 engine. Check out my new 0-60 video where I did it on petrol with all the LPG stuff removed. It's faster!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmxSlPFTedM For a 5000+ lbs I think 9 secs aint bad. But I do feel a good tune up will take off som 0,5-1 sec. It's got a nice 1:10,5 compression, straight timing, a DUI ignition, ported heads, holley 4160 750cfm with vac sec and a comp cams xe256h camshaft. Tranny and rear axle have stock gears, so rear axle is 1:2,73. Btw I'm driving on LPG so performance I a tad less compared to petrol. Enjoy!

0-60 run in Vista Cruiser
A first time try of a 0-60 run in my 1972 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. All I have really done is simply drive the car since is was finally put together last week. The timing chain is to be changed, it is a little slack, retarding the valve timing a little, the ignition timing is off, and the carburetor/fuel system has to be addressed as well. Note the bog at 16 seconds into the movie, I think it is a bit of fuel starvation. Even with a shift kit, 200-4R automatics shift way too early, roughly 4000 RPM, so the engine has not even wound out, a spring kit for the governor will correct this. Still much to do, but it is a real enjoyment driving this car, and with the overdrive and lock-up torque converter, fuel mileage has very noticeably improved with highway driving. It will be interesting to see what this 5000-lb car with a small block 350 will do once I have the cam/ignition and fuel systems addressed. As it is now, it looks like the car can achieve 60 in about 9 seconds or so. I hope to knock a second off this, I have to be realistic, it is still a small motor in a heavy car.

1976 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight For Sale
Here we have a '76 Olds 98. This car was purchased by my Grandfather in '77 with 7k miles on it. He drove it until it had 193k on it, and parked it. Save for 6 months in '03-'04, it has been in storage ever since. At that time, I needed a car and bought it from him. I put new tires, belts, a couple hoses, etc on it, put a battery in it and it fired right up. It's been sitting for 8 years, and a couple weeks ago, it started right up. All of the accessories seem to work just fine, though I'm not certain if the AC is good. It blows, just not cold. It has the Rocket 455 engine in it. The tail light spacers have dry-rotted and fallen off. There's a little rust in the rear bumper and the bottom of the doors, but like I said, it's been in storage for more than half of its life! The only thing mechanically wrong that I saw was one of the rubber fuel lines leak, but that's just due to dry-rot. I have a lot of new filters and the service manual too. A - SOLD!

Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham 85 Olds Coupe 5.0L 305 Eighty Eight Start Up & Test Drive Video Review http://www.1OwnerCarGuy.com This 85 Olds 88 is the top of the line model. It is a Royale Brougham so it has all the options. This car I believe is a 1 maybe 2 owner that only has 94K Original Miles on it. It has the 5.0L 305 V8 that runs great. Everything on this car feels tight. The exterior is just beautiful. The light metallic blue paint is all original and in very good condition with a nice shine to it. The body is straight as can be. It has the quarter vogue top that is just as nice as it gets. The car has a lot of chrome on it and is all just shines int he sun. I just love the factory wire wheels on this car. The interior is just clean as can be. The seats show almost no wear and look amazing. This car is fully loaded with all the options and everything works on this car. Styling highlights included new grille inserts and red and amber taillights replacing the red lenses. At mid-year, a new Royale Brougham LS was added to the 88 line almost simultaneous to the introduction of a new and downsized 1985 front-wheel drive Ninety-Eight. With the Ninety-Eight being downsized and converted to front-drive, the Royale Brougham LS model of the 88 was now the largest and most luxurious rear-wheel drive car offered by Oldsmobile. Custom Cruiser wagons continued with the same styling changes found on other 88 models. Only minor changes marked the 1985 model, which was in its last year before a major downsizing and conversion to front-wheel-drive. The same assortment of models in the Royale, Brougham and Brougham LS continued as before. The '85 88s would be the last full-sized Oldsmobile sedans and coupes to feature rear-wheel-drive, Rocket V8 power, and body-on-frame construction. Though the 88 sedans and coupes were downsized and switched to front-drive for 1986, the Custom Cruiser station wagons would continue virtually unchanged through the 1990 model year and eventually become the only Oldsmobile models powered by an Oldsmobile Rocket V8 engine, for which production ended in 1990 after 42 years. An upscale Cutlass Calais model was added, differing from the Cutlass Supreme only in minor trim details. The new notchback Cutlass Supreme proved to be far more popular than the controversial fastback Cutlass Salon coupe and sedan introduced at the same time.. Both the Cutlass Supreme and Calais were optioned with T-tops and/or a factory sunroof, even on the base Cutlass Supreme coupe with the factory radio delete option. From 1978 through 1980, a high-performance 442 model was available, and for 1979, a special-edition performance model, the Hurst/Olds was offered. These used the Supreme's notchback body, rather than the standard fastback coupe's. Around 2,499 Hurst/Olds were produced - all were powered with an Oldsmobile 5.7L (350 cubic-inch) Rocket V8 (not the diesel engine) sourced from the full-size Delta 88 and Ninety Eight Regency. Also included in the Hurst/Olds package was the Hurst Dual/Gate shifter for the three-speed turbo Hydra-matic transmission.. This was also the first year GM introduced the OBD-I computer controlled engine management and emission control system. The 442 option moved from the aeroback Cutlass Salon coupe body to the notchback Cutlass Calais for 1980, with content upgraded from a mere "appearance and handling" package back to a legitimate performance option with content similar to the 1979 Hurst/Olds including its 350 Rocket V8. This would be the last 442 until that model was revived in 1985, again on the Cutlass notchback body, as a successor to the 1983-84 Hurst/Olds. In 1981, the Cutlass Supreme coupe received an aerodynamic restyle (with a "shovel-nose" front header panel), which, along with a higher rear deck, decreased air resistance by 15%.[2] It would continue with this basic design until the final rear-drive Cutlass was produced in 1988. A 4-door sedan was added to the Supreme lineup, with a new front end and a slight taillight lens restyle (resembling a touch-tone dial or Rubik's Cube - this lens style was used until 1984). It was this restyled body that (along with the Monte Carlo, Buick Regal, and Pontiac Gran Prix) ushered in the down-sized cars into NASCAR cup competition. While the Cutlass looked almost identical to the Buick Regal (which scored 35+ victories in the 1981 thru 1985 seasons), the Cutlass (like the Dodge Mirada) didn't take one checkered flag, and many teams moved away from it in 1983 to the Regal, Grand Prix, and restyled Monte Carlo SS. This was a rude awakening to Oldsmobile, which was getting used to wins on the NASCAR circuit. The Cutlass Supreme parted mechanical company with the rest of the Cutlass line in 1982, when continuing high sales convinced GM to continue production of its rear wheel drive mid-size cars alongside the new V6-powered, front-wheel drive A-body, known as the Cutlass Ciera. The rear-wheel drive sedan and Cutlass Cruiser wagon became part of the Cutlass Supreme line in 1982. The wagon was dropped for 1984 as a new Cutlass Ciera-based model was introduced. The Hurst/Olds reappeared on the Cutlass Calais coupe for two years, first in 1983 as the black over silver 15th anniversary, and then as the silver over black 1984 model. Both featured chrome wheels, red striping and a high output Oldsmobile 307 V8 with 4 barrel carburetor, dual muffler Exhausts and Hurst's then new three stick Lightning Rods shifter (the latter eventually becoming a magnet for thieves.) All Hurst/Olds were automatics.
