For a 5000+ lbs I think 9 secs aint bad. But I do feel a good tune up will take off som 0,5-1 sec. It's got a nice 1:10,5 compression, straight timing, a DUI ignition, ported heads, holley 4160 750cfm with vac sec and a comp cams xe256h camshaft. Tranny and rear axle have stock gears, so rear axle is 1:2,73. Btw I'm driving on LPG so performance I a tad less compared to petrol.

1/4 mile = 14.54 @ 102mph (with some tire spin off the line) just shifting into 3rd at the end of the 1/4 mile.

True Dual Exhaust thru 2 1/2 inch Exhaust with H-pipe. I removed the original Ford Police Performance mufflers and put on Dynomax Ultra Flows... didnt really notice any differance in performance. But they are a little louder than the Police Mufflers.

July 2010 : 1976 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Regency cold start. The 76 98 is the largest Oldsmobile built, and the final year of the 455 cid engine. She is the top-of-the-range Regency edition, and in beautiful unmolested and rust free condition. I am proud to be the custodian of this fine automobile.

Hurst Lightning Rods Triple Shifter Operation - 1984 Hurst/Olds
Just a quick take on the basic operation of a triple shifter. I got my thoughts mixed up explaining the shifting sequence(s), but hopefully it makes sense. At the time the car was produced "Hurst Lightning Rods" shifter package was presented exclusively in the 83' & 84' Hurst/Olds; however they can be retro fitted to other vehicles. I also did a rolling start (30mph) to 85+, and then a 0-60.

Revin' up the Olds a little bit, Got a flowmaster 40 Series with no Cat Converter, I forgot to take the funnel out from putting gas in it though lol
