1979 Firebird - Into the 8's!!!
Dad's fastest and very last run to date. The impatient driver behind my dad did his burnout through the run, so you can't hear Dad's car at all. The "racer" driving the Mustang was at the 330' when Dad finished. (Ihave the time slip to prove it!) hahahaha

1979 Firebird - Big Block First Run
This is summer of 03. I think these were the 4th or 5th passes with the newly built 509 big block (gotta love that idle). We did the first few passes in october 02 with the iron heads and small cam. We went 11.80s on motor and 10.60s on spray. The first run was made with the aluminum heads and the radical cam and no Nitrous. Dad bumped the switch on the shifter by accident and caused a Nitrous backfire while he staged. That blew the throttle plates right out of the carb. (VERY expensive fix) IF dad didnt make the mistake, he should've turned a 9.70. Be sure to watch the other videos too.
