Mean Gene Cook turbo street VW wheelie and outta the groove! Farmington NC, OCT.19, 2008
First pass is qualifying against Troy Sellars, and I get a nasty wheelie goin. Second pass is the Unlimited Street East final with me against "Jersey Joe" Koenig. My car pulled hard right, got outta the groove and it was hang-on time after that! Allan Fore went head on into the wall right in front of me, so I was a little worried about the cold track. Luckily I was able to stay outta the wall! I ended the day as runner up, but we were number 1 qualifier et and mph! Cooker's V-Dubs, Clear Spring, Maryland 301-223-9292 *** Special thanx to VWRacingNews.com for the footage. Complete event DVD now available from them!!
