Yes it has a big V8, but it is the quality of this car that sets it apart. It is subtle enough that you may not notice it. The fender flares that are so well integrated that they look stock, then they flow perfectly to the rocker panel ground effects in a seamless manner. The GTO vents on the fender. It just all works.
450hp LS1 1978 Datsun 280Z
One of the coolest imports I've had the opportunity to see in action, this
extremely streetable 1978 Datsun 280z takes it's first trip to the drag
strip to do some testing. The car has an LS1 with heads, cam, and FAST
intake manifold putting down around 450 wheel horsepower! Best 1/8 mile
time was 7.11 for the night.
Junkyard Turbo Swap! Chevy-Powered 1971 Datsun 240Z Autocross Thrash - Roadkill Ep. 26
What do you get when you cross a rusted 1971 Datsun 240Z with a Chevy 4.3L
V6 and a turbo from a Ford Power Stroke
Diesel? The Rotsun! During Roadkill Episode 25, Freiburger and Finnegan
revived the Rotsun expecting it to dominate in the 9-car autocross showdown
of previous Roadkill project cars. It also needed to beat a 2014 Kia Rio 5,
but failed to do so with the Rotsun shamefully breaking down before
completing a decent lap. So in this episode: revenge. After swapping in the
mismatched turbo and making nearly 400
rear-wheel horsepower, the guys head to
the autocross at the Goodguys 5th Spring Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona
and mingle with fans on their way to a rematch with that dastardly Kia.
Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel.

72 Datsun 240Z w/ sbc 350 new custom exhaust Greddy
My Datsun 240Z with a Chevy 350 small block
It has a GM GoodWrench 350 V8 with a Comp Cams 270H cam and lifters. It
also has a Comp Cams double roller timing chain and gears. The intake is a
Edlebrock performer with a Holley 670 cfm Street Avenger carb mounted on
top. The holley is a fed by a Holley red electric fuel pump. The headers
are a set of block huggers I bought off ebay. They are wrapped to keep the
engine bay temps down. The radiator is off a mid 90's Camaro and it has an aftermarket
(brand unknown) electric fan mounted to it. That's about all I can remember
for now. Thanks for watching the video.
Datsun 240z vs Nissan GTR
This is a homebuilt twin turbo " blow
through " system on a 409 cubic inch Chevy small block engine in a 72
Datsun 240 z. The car is Street Legal due to emission excemptions and is
used for cruising, car shows, and drag racing. It is a Sleeper since it
uses a full Exhaust system and
