Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s 1969 RTR-X Mustang at SEMA
Vaughn Gittin Jr., Ford and Need For Speed have officially pulled back the cover on the wicked RTR-X 1969 Ford Mustang. Built for both street and drift duty, this car started life as a brand-spanking new Dynacorn body. Under the hood, a Ford Racing 302R V8 spins to a heavenly 8,000 rpm, churning out 440 horsepower. Outside, the vehicle's drip rails have been shaved for a cleaner look and the windshield and rear windscreen both received the flush treatment.
Massive, one-off fender flares give this pony a little extra girth and cover a set of retina-melting green Work Meister wheels. Despite the radical look, the guys from Need For Speed say that the RTR-X is a fully functional monster and that Gittin Jr., himself, will be hopping behind the wheel for drift demos soon.

**Black Ops Nissan 350Z**
The National Guard recently sponsored a car built by one of their own for as a rolling showcase to honor fallen heroes. The Black Ops Nissan 350z is pimped from inside and out with the best the tuning community has to offer. This car will be showcased at various Hot Import Nights shows across the nation. Sgt. Nicholas Ashby has built car in memorial for soldiers who have died in the past, and the Nissan 350z was built on the idea that our soldiers are citizens too. This car combines the Spirit of the National Guard with some extreme sports car performance. There are quite a few companies that pitched in some expensive parts and accessories to help Boost this ride into the show car realm.
**VQ Engine Modifications**
The VQ engine was put together by Stillen and has been stroked to 4.1 liters thanks to a Crower stroker kit featuring beefier pistons, rods, and crank. The forced induction set-up was taken care of by the good folks at turbochargers.com and consists of an Artisan turbo kit, custom Intercooler piping, and custom ECU maps. Jim Wolfe supplied a billet Camshaft set and a high duration valve spring set. Misimoto anted up the necessary parts for cooling including a 350z performance radiator, silicone hose kit, and slimmer high performance fans. A Stillen Dual Exhaust and performance oil pan round out the engine mods from Stillen. Shifting force is handled by an ACT clutch kit featuring a Heavy Duty Pressure Plate and Performance Street Disc.
**Rollers and Stoppers**
Huge Asanti 20-inch rims fill the gaps in the fender wells. These three piece wheels measure 9-inches wide in the front and 11-inches wide out back. The rubber is handled by Hankook tires. AP Racing volunteered their 4-piston front and rear big break kit. BC Suspension makes some of the best coilovers around and the Black Ops 350z sports the BR kit. Getting the alignment in order; comes via Stillen once again with Adjustable front and rear camber arms and toe links.
**Body Kit and Carbon Fiber**
Stillen once again pitched in concerning the body modifications with a front fascia, front splitter, rear wing, roof wing, rear valance, and rocker panels. Seibon is the best known company when it comes to carbon fiber parts and they hooked up the 350z with a sweet hood, OEM style trunk lid, front and rear fenders, and OEM carbon fiber doors. Custom BASF paint and art by Cory Saint Clair finish off the exterior mods.
**Interior Style**
NRG sent the entire parts catalog for the 350z over to be installed on the Black Ops car. A 300mm Leather Steering Wheel with carbon fiber trim is attached to a quick release kit. Adjustable seat brackets hold down the 2 Carbon fiber bucket seats. 4-point safety harnesses hold the driver in place. A titanium handbrake and shift knob round out the interior mods.
