350 Chevy Blower Motor Startup
This is a blown 357 cubic inch small block Chevy engine. I have built several engines over the years, but, this is my first blower motor. It is a .040 over bore, 1987 block with World Products cast iron heads, flat top pistons, 9 to 1 compression. The blower is a large displacement 6-71. On top are two 1850-3 Holley carbs. They have been specially modified to work on top of a blower. It has a Kuhl 20% under drive and produces 6 pounds of Boost at 5000 RPM's. Ignition is an MSD 6AL triggered by a high performance distributor with a magnetic pickup.Coil is an MSD HVC. This is a very streetable blower setup that runs on 93 octane pump gas.

283 supercharged sbc .030 over, 12% overdriven, Rhs heads, Lunati solid flat tappet 632 lift, balanced, forged, two 600 holleys. Engine has to be partly taken apart later to be painted and finish polishing, just wanted to hear it, while I am getting my 57 chevy ready. I also have a 458 c.i. set up like this small block but gas will be a little cheaper besides this little fast reving sbc sounds really kool, I think I am going to like it. 1964 327 Dyno Test
327 Chevy small block Dyno test. Built for my 64 Impala that is being restored. Matching casting numbers, original looks, high torque and good manners were important. Using the Dyno shop headers, it managed to get 420 torque and 378 horsepower using stock 327 block, heads, intake. With the stock 2.5 inch cast iron Exhaust manifolds and 2.5 inch head pipes, 424 torque and 362 horsepower. Very little loss was attributed to the low flow rate of the stock intake manifold. With the stock 2.5 inch cast iron Exhaust manifolds, 2.5 inch head pipes and a 2 inch reducer at the end (the stock Exhaust necks down from 2.5 to 2 inches) 404 torque and 351 horsepower. With the stock 2.5 inch cast iron Exhaust manifolds, 2.5 inch head pipes and a 2 inch reducer at the end and the stock air cleaner/filter 410 torque and 362 horsepower.
