This video compares the sound of two mufflers:
Thrush 24200 - Walker Glasspack Mufflers (old muffler) vs.
Jones Exhaust ATT18S-3 - Jones Full
Boar turbo Tube Muffler (new muffer).
The glasspack has the wobbly camera at night. The turbo tube has the steady camera at dusk.
I tried running the same route with each, with the same driving habits, but
traffic forced me to do otherwise. Sorry about that.
The difference in sound between the two isn't represented well in the
videos. My observation from riding is that both are really too loud. The
glass pack is louder and screams more. The turbo tube is noticeably less loud, with a
throatier tone. Conversation at cruise with the old muff was a shouting
match with many missed words. Conversation with the new one requires just
a strong voice and requires no repeats. Talking during heavy acceleration
with either is a joke.

1972 Buick Skylark 455,
My 72 Skylark 350 sport coupe, I've had it about 10 or 11 years and I
bought it from the original owners family after he had passed away. It used
to be a grandfathers car now it's just an old guys toy. Soon after I
bought it I installed a warmed up 350 and it ran real good. One day I
wanted more so I built a .030 over 455 and that's when the trouble started.
The original owners name Was Charley Daniels(no not that one)May he rest in
peace because lord knows, When ever I start this thing up nobody rests in
peace. Mwuh hah ha hah ha ha
70 Buick GS Stage 1 vs Radical 69 Camaro SS
Stock 1970 Buick 455 Stage 1 engine with pump gas vs 454 with gears and
converter in a 69 Camaro SS. Listen to the
difference in cams etc towards the end. The owner of both even said he was
pissed till he realized they were both his cars so why be mad the buick was

1980 Buick Skylark Dealer Demo
This is form a 1979 promotional LaserDisc that I found it is for 1980 model
At the beginning of this disc you will hear some audio tones, these where
used to program the PR-7800 LaserDisc player, and you will also see single
frames of what is on the entire disc as well as still pictures of each
model of Buick available that year
This WAS the first interactive video experience, the on board CPU in the
PR-7800 allowed you to program the viewing and interact with the disc using
the remote control. The PR-7800 was intorduced 3 years before the IBM PC-XT
In 1978 GM contracted with Pioneer and MCA/DiscoVision to put the Pioneer
PR-7800 LaserDisc player into its dealerships, the discs where to be used
for demonstrations as in this disc or for training purposes.
Now in the early days of laserDisc manufacture there was a very high
failure rate, sometimes as high as 85% during the mastering/pressing
process, so that left a lot of sides of discs that where unusable. Well
these where used to fill the blank side of a disc, the "dead" side was then
coated with a special plastic that was clear to the human eye, but it would
not reflect the laser beam, thus the side would not play. Well the coating
can be removed with rubbing alcohol, which is what I did.
These reject discs will ONLY play on the older style of laserDisc player
that uses a laser tube
