Volvo S60 2.4 TURBO exhaust sound & acceleration
The car sounds very nice on low revs. Sometimes you can hear the Subaru-like turbo sound. Volvo claims that the acceleration of the car should be around 7.5 sec from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph). It's 2.4T 200 HP engine with an automatic gearbox and is very well-equipped. By the way - the 5-speed gearbox started making problems at around 120.000 kms (the oil in the gearbox hasn't been changed at all I suppose, guys from Volvo told us there's no need to do that... So that's the result.), there was a problem with the third gear. I'm not going to say that the car was unreliable but it definitely wasn't problem-free. However, there were only minor issues, nothing serious at all. Fantastic seats, I liked the steering but hated the loud suspension which had troubles dealing with our polish poor-quality roads.

I really enjoy this car. I love the fact that its actually lightweight (3350 lbs), comfortable & decent on gas.
Volvo ETM Problem S60 and others
Before you buy a volvo - Problems with Volvos Volvo ETM Problem which affects My S60 and these Cars.: S40, S60, S70, S80,S90,C70, V40, V70,V90, X70, XC70, 700, 740, 780, 850, 855. If you have a problem with erratic revs, idle speed fluctuating up and down, the chances are its a problem with the ETM which can be up to £750+VAT to correct. Poor Customer service from Volvo with this design fault and reports on Vexedvolvo.com are 94% fail before 100,000 miles! Buyer Beware!!
