Eric Dillard - PBIR testing - 5.863 @ 249.21
2/7/11 - Eric actually lifted early on this pass. At the end of the video you hear Bob Newberry calling out to Steve. The rest of Bob's statement was, "AND he lifted early!" I believe the numbers for this pass was:
3.936 @ 201.61
5.863 @ 249.21
2012 RSC Predator GT-RSR
A new RSC.
Following heavy criticism that the Raptor GT was a photoshopped Ferrari 599XX, Rotary Supers Cars (RSC) has announced plans to rename and restyle their upcoming supercar.
Redubbed the Predator GT, the car adopts Lamborghini-esque styling that should placate concerns that the original Raptor renderings were based on photos lifted from the Kennol.com website.
Despite the changes, the Predator is still slated to use a fanciful four-rotor Wankel engine - based on the Mazda 13B MSP - that develops up to 1,200 PS (883 kW / 1184 hp). It will be connected to an eight-speed sequential transmission, that enables 1,100 kg (2,425 lb) supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than three seconds.
No word on when the vehicle will be launched, but the company had planned to show a Raptor GT prototype in late 2010. That obviously didn't happen, so we have doubts that the original 2012 launch date will stick.
NHRA Testing at Palm Beach International Raceway
There were several NHRA teams out to test at Palm Beach International Raceway for this years invitation only Test Session. The track proved to have excellent traction which resulted in high 3 second ETs and 300 mph charges. Alan Johnsons new Al-Anabi team made its debut with Top Fuel driver Larry Dixon and Funny Car pilot Del Worsham. Also on hand were Tony Schumacher, Cory McClenathan, Tim Wilkerson, Bob Tasca III, Ron Capps, Jack Beckman, and Jeff Arend. Rickie Smith, Shannon Jenkins, and Burton Auxier was also there making some shakedown passes in their Pro Mods. All of the drivers, crew chiefs, and owners seemed to be enjoying themselves in the 80 degree January temperatures.
7sec pass + Crash PBIR 8-29-09
Rotary Starlet at PBIR had a nice 7sec pass, then when the shoot opens it corsses the lanes and smashes the wall then hits the wall on the other side. Driver was fine but had a bad limp.
