1959 Cadillac El Dorado Brougham - Restoration Project Part II
In 1959 the Cadillac division of General Motors was locked in a head to
head battle with the Lincoln division of Ford in an attempt to show the
world who could build the most luxurious automobile on the market. The
result of this was a partnership with Pininfarina of Italy to build 99
units of the top of the line Cadillac El Dorado Brougham. With features
and functionality unheard of in automobiles of the day this car was a
revolution when it was introduced. This second video showcases the
restoration of the car and shows all the components fully removed from the
chassis so the work may progress in parallel on all areas of the El Dorado.
We also get to hear from the restoration team at Rodz.
1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Review
Since most everyone knows I'm a huge fan of these older GM luxury sedans
(being I just purchased a 1995 buick roadmaster limited) I always try to
film these as well as other B and D bodies whenever I get the chance, to
try and preserve these legendary american sedans through video for
everyones enjoyment :) In this video I give a full in depth review of the
1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. I take viewers on a close look through
the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing
of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also
show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds
under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give
others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

1963 Cadillacs Road Test
In overall terms the 1963 Cadillac was essentially the same as the previous
year. Exterior changes imparted a bolder and longer look. Hoods and deck
lids were redesigned. The front fenders projected 4.625 inches further
forward than in 1962 while the tailfins were trimmed down somewhat to
provide a lower profile. Body side sculpturing was entirely eliminated. The
slightly V-shaped radiator grille was taller and now incorporated outer
extensions that swept below the flush-fender dual headlamps. Smaller
circular front parking lamps were mounted in those extensions. A De Ville
signature script was incorporated above the lower beltline molding near the
rear of the body. A total of 143 options including bucket seats with wool,
leather or nylon upholstery fabrics and wood veneer facings on dash, doors
and seatbacks, set an all-time record for interior appointment choices.
Standard equipment was the same as the previous year.
The engine was entirely changed, though the displacement and output
remained the same, 390 cu in (6.4 l) and 325 hp (242 kW)

Fleetwood was the top of the line for Cadillac. This car has options way
ahead of its time as the 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood specs included cruise
control, climate control, tilt steering, and even automatic headlight
dimmers that are activated by a sensor just above the headlights. Nothing
says luxury better than Cadillac, and this Fleetwood we have for sale has
This is an original gold Fleetwood. The interior was refurbished 10 years
ago with new seat upholstery and new carpet. The dashboard and door panels
are original and in very good condition for their age. A CD player and
incredible sounding 6x9 speakers make for a superb driving experience.
The engine in this car is original and it starts, runs, drives, and even
looks great. The engine bay was detailed at the same time as the interior
and exterior of the car. The car comes with factory AC and all the
components were taken apart and detailed but the system was never charged
once everything went back together. There is video of the engine starting
and running so you can hear the strong engine and the cool sound out the
tail pipes in the video at the bottom of this listing page.
The body was painted 10 years ago and it still looks sharp. There are some
nicks, bumps and bruises that are worth pointing out, so please take the
time to go through all of the photos so you can know exactly what to expect
when this classic Cadillac shows up in your driveway!

Real World Test Drive's Grant Winter has the story from New York:
1965 Cadillac Fleetwood Crm
The Fleetwood was three and a half inches longer than the other
Cadillacs..and used that to advantage in the luxurious interior. Only the
best fabrics and leather..
One of the accessories on this car is speed control, not just a
buzzer...back in those days it was a complicated affair. Note also the
unusual pattern of the whitewall tires...the wide center stripe flanked by
two narrow stripes is correct for the car.
1958 CADILLAC SIXTY SPECIAL FLEETWOOD -- CALLED MOTORDOM'S MASTERPIECE
This year the Caddy sheetmetal got only minor reshaping with spiked fins
but yet called the most flamboyant Cadillac's yet with chrome extravaganza.
The Series 60 Cadillac came in only this model shown, a hardtop sedan.
Other Cadillac models were the Series 62, at the low end, and then above
the Series 60 was the Series 70, the Eldorado Brougham, and the Series 75
the limo and commercial chassis for hearse and ambulance bases. This
Series 60 Special cost $6,232 and 12,900 units were manufactured. The
engine available is a V8, 365 cid with between 310 - 365 bhp. I admire
this beauty because of it's luxury feel from the dagmar bumpers with it's
rubber tips, and the " luxurious " black and gold fleck upholstery with
white leather. How 'bout that hardtop look with the expanse of grooved
stainless steel along the rear quarter panel with matching fender skirts ?
Tons of chrome lathered on this Cadillac with glossy black paint make this
a very fifties luxury car and a great example of what the GM Division
called a Motordom's Masterpiece. Thanks very much for viewing this 1958
Cadillac Fleetwood hardtop.
