This bug has enjoyed the good life with just one owner since brand new. The first leg of it's life was spent in the Silicon Valley with it's last few years in the wine country. It has been well maintained and garaged its entire life.
Rust-free, straight body and the original paint still shines. The trunk is nice, clean with no prior damage or repairs, even the original trim inserts are intact and in-place along with the spare and jack. The wiring is tidy and stock, except for a modern radio added years ago, all is factory. The floors are absolutely rock-solid.
The interior is in fantastic shape as well! The seat covers were redone in their original color in the not too distant past; door panels, rugs, headliner are all in terrific shape. The dash is original with no cracking whatsoever! Usually we find plastic dash caps on these cars - not this car - that is the actual, original dash and it is in terrific shape! Everything works in the car including the clock. The top is nearly new, it folds up and down with ease.
Please take a look at the full description, 2 photo galleries and video at the link above and then give me a call to take her home.

Yes, you read it correctly, 3,772 miles! This 2 owner convertible Beetle was sold new right here in Altanta at Jim Ellis Volkswagen in 1979. It drives as if it just came off the assembly line and with the air cooled 4cyl. Bosch L-Jetronic Fuel Injected 1.6L Dual-Port Boxer engine, it still purrs like a kitten.
1979 was the last model year for the convertible to be offered by VW and with so few miles on this classic beetle, it needs to be either in a museum or a collection somewhere. 1979 VW Super Beetle Convertible
Visit http://www.leftcoastclassics.com/1979-volkswagen-convertible/ to see this nice 1979 Volkswagen Super Beetle sold by Left Coast Classics. California car with the original blue license plates. Just passed California smog. Starts; runs and drives nicely. Everything works but the radio. Our local VW shop just checked out and the car is ready to go! This Beetle has a few cosmetic imperfections such as some paint chips and scratches, etc. but still looks nice. The paint is shiny and the interior looks nice, too. A brand new $1,500 top and headliner have just been fitted and really look great! There is a crack in the dash but we have a dash cover available and may install if the reserve is met. The heater keeps the car toasty warm and the wipers work. The radio is old and inoperable so the new owner may want to install one. The tires have plenty of tread and the brakes are good. There was minor rust in the floors and those areas were just replaced. This is a nice little cruiser with a clear title and recent tune-up. With winter close, these are a great deal compared to spring when everyone is looking for one! It would make a great little Christmas present, too!
