1970 Mercury Cougar XR7
1970 Mercury Cougar XR-7 "The mood is upbeat. The spirit is untamed. The car is Cougar.” This was one of the many taglines Mercury used in their sales brochure for the classic Mercury Cougar. These cars were incredibly unique and built to perform. This 1970 Cougar is a nice driver and is a factory XR7 edition which included simulated wood trim, a tachometer, an electric clock and special wheel covers. The exterior is coated in a bright yellow that suits the look of the car nicely. This is paired with nice chrome bumpers, stainless trim, and one of the most uniquely designed front grills made. The hideaway headlights flip around from behind what looks to be part of the grill and operate properly. In the rear you will find sequential taillights that span almost the entire rear of the car. The car has a nice solid stance with a slight rake and rides on custom aftermarket wheels. Powering up this classic is a 351 Windsor as it would have come from the factory. These motors have plenty of power and run well. It is topped with Silver valve covers and a Silver air cleaner with most of the other parts finished out in Black. It is combined with an automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and moves through the gears with no problems. This car is also fitted with power steering and power brakes making it very comfortable to drive. The interior of the car was just installed and is done in a Black and Yellow color combination. The bucket seats are comfortable and are done in leather and faux ostrich skin. Between the seats is the original center console which houses the shifter and is fitted with additional gauge pods. The dash has a stock appearance with all the factory gauges, trim, etc. The only major customization there is the added AM/FM/CD player. Air conditioning is also in place which blows cold without issues. Add this unique muscle car to your collection today! Road America Teaser
Team Falken Tire's strong run at Road America came to a disappointing end this afternoon, resulting in the team's first DNF of the 2012 American Le Mans Series race season. Riding the momentum of two consecutive top-four finishes, the Falken Porsche looked to be fiercely competitive at the 14 turn, 4.08 mile road course.

Vinyl Top Installation - '68 Cougar
In this video, we watch as a professional installs a vinyl top on a 1968 Mercury Cougar. After observing the process, we think this is a job that the average do-it-yourself-er can handle. It does require a certain amount of finesse, but not as much as a headliner installation requires (see our other video on that subject). This premium quality vinyl top can be found on our website here: http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/store/p/13820-Vinyl-Top-Concours-Correct -BLACK-Repro-1967-1968-Mercury-Cougar.html Economy vinyl tops also available: http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/67-vinyl-top.html Like us on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/WestCoastClassicCougar Subscribe to our channel for more Cougar videos!

Rusty Roof Replacement - 1968 Cougar
If you have an old car that came with a vinyl top, chances are that you have some rust issues in the roof. This was the case with Andrew's car - a 1968 Mercury Cougar that his grandparents bought brand new in '68. In this video, Andrew takes matters into his own hands to replace his rusted roof skin with a solid donor roof from another car. He is by no means a restoration expert, just an amateur trying to save some money and save his car. Need a roof or other body panels for your classic Cougar? West Coast Classic Cougar has it all. Check us out at http://www.cougarpartscatalog.com or give us a call at (503) 463-1130 . (c) 2011 West Coast Classic Cougar, Inc. Music in the video is from royalty-free sources, except for the Toccata and Fugue in D (used during the brief B&W horror sequence). Performed by Peter Hurford.
