Butch and his 3700lb Pontiac cruise the local streets (with parachute, of course) and run the quarter in 7 seconds. How many 70 year old men have the nuts to mash the throttle on 2000hp? This is a fully machined casting with water jackets that flows over 400 cfm as cast. This is the ULTIMATE Pontiac cylinder head!
Mickey Thompson: Fastest Man on Wheels
Mickey Thompson roared out of the hot rodding world of Southern California to become the "Fastest Man on Wheels," when his Pontiac powered Challenger One broke the 400 mph mark at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
This didn't become an official record because of difficulties he encountered on a second run. The speed authorities require a second run and take the average for the record books. This promotional film captures the drama of his attempt.
1968 Pontiac Lemans project
I traded my red 1961 F100 for this car in December. I liked the truck but it was so difficult to drive. No power steering, brakes, or A/C. So here I have a very cool cruiser. Leaving it mostly stock, no loud mufflers or go fast bolt ons except for the HEI ignition and Edelbrock intake and carburator.
