My Sons First Project Car - 1987 Pontiac Trans Am
Be sure to check us out on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/RamblinAroundTV My son has been looking for a car for a while now. He wanted something that he could fix up and keep for years. His dream car was a third generation trans am and that's exactly what we found. It's going to be a bit of a project, but that's what we wanted anyway. We plan to restore and modify the car and film videos of the progress along the way. The car is a 1987 Pontiac Trans Am with the LG9 5.0 TPI V8. The previous owner already added headers, a cold air induction setup, aftermarket distributor and coil, 2500 stall converter, TCI servos in the tranny, drag shocks, subframe connectors, boxed control arms, and more. Overall, we think it's a great base to start with. I hope you find it interesting...thanks for watching!

132636 / 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo Pace Car
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/cxmoqkm As one of only 5,700 cars built to commemorate the first time one car paced both the Indy 500 and Daytona 500 in the same year, this 1980 Trans Am turbo Pace Car is one of the most exclusive Trans Ams ever built. Owned by one very meticulous owner and garage kept for its entire existence, this pristine California Pontiac is one of the cleanest second generation Trans Ams we've ever offered. Thanks to three decades of exceptional maintenance and a little cosmetic T.L.C. from RK Motors Charlotte's first rate restoration shop, the car presents as well today as it did it when it rolled off the showroom floor over 30 years ago. A bright and crisp coat of correct GM code 11 Cameo White covers 100% original body panels which are straight, rock solid and free of waves and major imperfections. Because this Trans Am has never been fully disassembled, it still displays completely accurate panel gaps that are surprisingly tight and provide the car with great panel fitment and correct factory alignment. On top of the ghost white panels, a fresh set of tri-color outlining stripes perfectly complements a five color 'turbo bird' hood decal and factory applied Indianapolis 500 Pace Car door stickers to complete the look. Under this Trans Ams "turbo" stamped hood you'll find an all original Pontiac code YL turbocharged 301 V8 that made substantially more twist than the mighty 6.6 liter it replaced while being significantly more efficient. Originally conceived as an economy offering, the Pontiac 301 was beefed up with a slew of upgrades in preparation for a Garrett TBO-305 turbocharger. Once the turbo was installed, it created a waste limited 9 PSI of Boost and helped the reborn 301 achieve 236 horsepower and a serious 345 lb./ft. of torque. Riding below a factory installed heat shield that prevents the paint on the car's hood from bubbling, that Garrett blower is fed by a high pressure fuel pump, cooled by a high pressure oil pump and breathes through turbo specific Exhaust manifolds. Below the turbo, a YL 301 specific Rochester Quadrajet M4ME 800 CFM carburetor sits in front of an original HEI distributor which sends power to the cylinders through blue Belden Edge plug wires. All the hard parts around the motor, from the belt driven accessories to the brake Booster and turbo mandated C51 air conditioning are factory original pieces, and all the belts and hoses appear to be in good working order. Behind the motor, the cars original tough and proven turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed automatic transmission sends power to the cars original 3.08 Posi-traction rear end, and a standard WS6 handling package. For 1980, the WS6 package included larger sway bars, better shocks and springs, a tighter steering gear box and newly designed power front and rear disc brakes that, when combined with the cars standard power steering, made for serious handling ability and greatly reduced stopping distances. Power flows to the pavement through pliable 225/70 white letter Goodyear Polysteel Radials that are mounted to exclusive 15 inch 'turbo' style aluminum wheels. The cars all original fully equipped Oyster interior features optional doeskin vinyl with hobnail cloth inserts which creates a sophisticated appearance. The firm and comfortable seats are nicely patterned pieces that feel every bit as comfortable as they look, and the original brown carpet shows very little wear. Between the seats, a clean gray console houses chrome switches for the cars power windows behind an engine turned shift plate, and above the seats, a stain free headliner is stretched tight around the cars mirrored tops. In front of the driver, an excellent looking engine turned dash houses crystal clear gauges above controls for heat and air conditioning and the cars exclusive Delco-GM seek/scan stereo cassette player. At the sides of the seats, excellent Oyster door panels that feature bright 'turbo bird' embroidery are detailed in pristine stainless trim and chrome door handles and door lock buttons. Connecting the driver to the road is a correct aluminum steering wheel that features a gray rim and sits on an optional tilt steering column. With its clean turbocharged motor, fantastic interior and rare low mileage, this has to be one of the nicest Trans Am turbo Pace Cars available anywhere.

134626 / 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SE
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/6tqgg3u This fully sorted 1977 Trans Am Special Edition is a documented, numbers matching Y82 Special Edition that features Pontiac's highly desirable W72 400 engine, a 4-speed transmission and, best of all, a fresh frame-off restoration. Assembled at GM's famous Norwood manufacturing facility in April of 1977 as one of only 2,699 Y82 Special Editions, this pristine black and gold Trans Am was shipped right up Interstate 71 to Haydocy Pontiac in Columbus, Ohio where it began a 35 year existence filled with immaculate maintenance and impeccable care. Today, after a highly detailed frame-off restoration, it presents as practically brand new and displays a spectacular coat of GM code 19 Starlight Black paint on top of smooth and solid body panels which are as straight and as the day they left the showroom floor. On top of those cool black panels, a fresh set of Special Edition exclusive full outlining stripes complement an awesome Special Edition exclusive gold and matte gold trimmed 'screaming chicken' hood decal which is one of the most iconic automotive brandings in history. Pop the black and gold hood and you'll find this Trans Ams all original 6.6 liter W72 V8 which wears a correct 500557 casting number and a correct 27N191886 partial VIN. At 400 cubic inches, the Pontiac 6.6 litre was already the largest engine you could buy in 1977; and by utilizing smaller "6X" heads and a revised camshaft, it created bigger compression and successfully reversed almost a decade of declining horsepower numbers. At the top of the motor, a correct Rochester 4-barrel carburetor sucks air through the cars awesome shaker scoop. Below that carburetor, original GM corporate blue paint coats the entire block; and original Exhaust manifolds send spent gases into a high performance factory Exhaust system. All the hard parts around the motor, from the belt driven accessories to the brake Booster and optional air conditioning hanging on the fire wall are factory correct. And as expected tags, markings and stamps are just where they should be from the date coded core support to the cars freshly cleaned cowl tag. At the bottom of this slick F-body, solid floorpans tell the story of years of excellent maintenance, and a fresh rebuilt suspension tells the story of an excellent restoration. Behind the motor, an original Borg Warner T10 4-speed transmission, which wears a correct 1304065903 casting number and a correct 27N191866 partial VIN, sends power to an original 10 bolt rear end which has been restored to factory specifications. Below that stellar powertrain, a rebuilt Trans Am suspension, which includes power steering, thicker sway bars, better shocks and stiffer springs combines with standard issue power front disc brakes and rear drums to provide quick stops and great handling. And at the corners of the car, restored aluminum Pontiac snow flake wheels spin Special Edition exclusive gold paint around 'red bird' center caps and correct GR70-15 Goodyear Steelgard white letter tires. Open this Trans Am's massive black doors and you'll find a fully restored optional velour interior that wraps Special Edition exclusive gold trim in a whole lot of old school style! The cars rebuilt seats are firm, crisp and look every bit as nice and rich as their velour name implies. Below those seats, like-new black carpet, which is carefully protected by factory replacement floor mats, displays no fading or unraveling; and between the seats, a silver trimmed console props buttons for the cars power windows behind a chrome Hurst shifter. At the top of the car, a stain-free headliner is stretched tight around the cars Hurst T-tops. At the sides of the car, pitch black door panels hang pristine pull straps and new chrome door handles below Special Edition exclusive gold badging. And in front of the driver, an excellent looking engine turned gold dash houses crystal clear gauges, controls for heat and air conditioning, and the cars original Delco-GM AM/FM stereo behind a correct gold Formula steering wheel and optional tilt steering column. If you're in the market for a kick ass Trans Am that is the quintessential late 70s American muscle car; here it is. Grab it fast and thank us in ten years as you watch its value climb! Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com for more information on this awesome car!
