Nissan - We Learn from Racing
This is a Chiat/Day-produced Nissan TV spot from August, 1988, which I briefly appeared in. The desert "race" sequences were filmed at Jawbone Canyon, about 100 miles north of Los Angeles. After a full day of shooting, I appeared as the second set of headlights in the dust, 22 seconds into the spot (I was driving my Class 7 Toyota race truck, behind the Nissan, of course). Roger Mears drove the Budweiser Nissan.
While getting ready for one of the scenes, filming guys were taping little perforated bags of store-bought dust in our wheel wells. I looked over at Roger Mears in his truck and he just rolled his eyes - too funny.

Bumper, Warn M8000 Winch, Rear Helper Springs (1.5"lift), 4 Rancho RS5000 Shocks, Cranked Torsion Bars, Two 130Watt KC Highlights, Straight Piped Exhaust, Cherry Bomb Muffler, Daytona 12.5 Wheel's on a 31 x 10.5 x 15 Nexen MT Tires.
Inside: Kenwood Deck and 4 Kenwood Speakers. Subwoofer.
