All wagons from 71-76 rode on the C-body chassis (127 inch) wheelbase... (Chevrolet Belair-Townsman, Impala-Kingswood, Caprice-Kingwood Estate), the Pontiac Safari (Catalina, Bonneville, and Grand Ville wagons were all Safari's) - (Grand Ville was called Grand Safari), Olds Custom Cruiser (with 88 and 98 interiors), and Buick Estate (LeSabre and Electra series interiors). In 1977 the wagons moved to the B-body chassis and rode on the 116" wheelbase until 1996 when they were discontinued
I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (http://www.youtube.com/editor)

the trip to wagon fest in Waterloo NY, some of the many wagons, and the ride home...

Hot Rod Station Wagon [S6 Ep.9-1]
Station Wagons...Love them or hate them, we all have some stories to tell about them! But most of us have never dreamed that a wagon could be a Hot rod or cool custom...but they can! Today on GEARZ, Stacey shows how much fun a wagon can be when it has an LS engine under the hood, and two four barrel carburetors sitting on it. If you ever wanted to thrash your Dad's old Wagon, this is the show for you! After that Stacey digs into some of the most asked questions regarding shooting waterborne paint, and finally we take a trip to Texas to see how one body-man created his own business by selling tools, instead of using them. If you are looking for a new career, this could be your answer.
71 Ford Country Sedan Runs & Drives - $1,450
Remember when mom used to take you kids and your bikes everywhere in the station wagon?? Well, daddy got ahold of this one and put lake pipes on it! This 1971 Ford Galaxy 500 Country Sedan Station Wagon survivor has a 429 under the hood. Yes, we know there was an error in the size of the motor in the video. But getting past that, this car starts right up every time. The seats and vast majority of the interior are good. Admittedly it can use some fixing up, but the heat works fine and its got A/C, nice wheels, and dual Exhaust. There is a new alternator, a new regulator, new brakes--front hub out, new starter relay, new Monroe shocks (heavy duty on front--heavy duty air on back), a new ignition switch and of course the Lake pipes. This is a good running, driving car that can be a daily driver while you restore it.
