LS3 g8 gxp at Inde (Willcox AZ) ...running with Z06
First time at this track... LOTS to learn. Too complicated for my little
brain. I started getting just a BIT of feel for the track during this
Action really starts at 5:30. I'm on STREET tires (Michelin Pilot Sport).
My motor is pumped up to about 470 hp at the crank (intake, good tune,
Kooks mid-length headers, hi-flow cats, x-pipe and muffler delete).
Since the video was made, I've added a small cam and a custom IM, so I'm
right at 515 hp at the crank.
After instructor rode with me, I tried to put his advice to work. He said
to try just leaving the transmission in adaptive automatic mode and just
concentrate on the line and weight transfer. So I put the transmission in
Sport Mode. It did okay but it wasn't exactly reading my mind. I could
gain a few seconds shifting for myself I'm sure.
I'm not sure I like this track as much as some people. I'd like a few more
places to crack the throttle and let 'er run. Like say... a back straight.

A bit of the fun we had at dragway 42. My uncle in the G8 got paired up
with a 5.0 Mustang GT on
one of his runs. I really wish I could have recorded more of these runs...
I don't think he lost a single one...
