Cult of The Turbo ★ Ferrari F40 vs. Porsche GT2 RS vs. Noble M600 vs. Jaguar XJ220 [EVO TV] [HD]

turbo Engines: Their legacy & ongoing refinement in some of the very best cars on the road... or track. The Ferrari F40, the first 200mph & still perhaps the greatest ever Supercar for it's raw, purposeful & meteoric performance, built nearly a quarter of a century ago; incredible legacy, & still considered Ferrari's greatest ever creation, for very good reason. When the real electronic age is upon us, cars like the F40 will always speak volumes for what petrol cars truly meant in the growth of an industry & procession of engineering. The Porsche GT2 RS, the latest marque of this incredible Carrera, top of the fleet, and blistering in all aspects. The power it puts out, with the artistic but unforgiving handling still asks today how Porsche have managed to take the rear-engined format THIS far, let alone 610hp from a Flat-6 as standard! 170hp+ more than from their GT3 RS. There's never been anything like an extreme "turbo'd" Porsche. Noble have always built amazing cars given their bearing against the big manufacturers. But having done so well with their small cut they've been able to build a car from the ground up. Twin-turbocharged V8 engine built in house has given them a base never previously used, having V6 TT Ford Duratec engines in their former models. All their chassis prowess is on display as they've built a genuine supercar, able to compete with their targets & having a nice price advantage on them too. The mercurial Jaguar XJ220; British supercars are usually lead via Aston Martin who hold most of the acclaim, but Britains greatest contribution could well be the XJ220. An incredible project at the time, extracting immense power & speed from an already reknowned V6 [Metro 6R4 Rally Car] with the aid of 2 turbochargers, and at the time having the fastest production car on Earth. Definitely a cult favourite and a car for the ages in all aspects of what makes a car memorable; the styling alone still seems post-modern against the sleek machines of today.

Sold the Porsche, Bought a Ferrari 599 - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
The finance payments were too much, someone offered me good money for it, so I sold the Porsche. 599 values have hit the skids in the UK, Ferrari won't let me drive its cars any more, and I miss driving them so I bought, a 599. It's fast.

AMG Hammer Sideways In The Rain !! (And a Factory Tour) - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
Quick video this, but it's not every day you get a spin in a factory owned AMG Hammer. We also had a trip around the factory at Affalterbach and saw some other cool stuff.

Resident Evil? Diesel power in a Porsche Panamera - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
The world thinks the Panamera is ugly, and that no Porsche should be powered by a diesel engine. So the Panamera diesel makes people froth with anger - mainly because they think it isn't fast enough. Chris investigates.

Flat Out In a Le Mans Winning Porsche 962 - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
This car belongs to the Porsche Museum. It is worth millions of dollars. And they let me spank it at their Weissach test track. Good times.

458 Italia. Let's build the engine
With the assembled and painted frame and the engine parts perfectly prepared, it is now time for the mechanical part. At the engine assembly we meet men who seem to be building models, which in our case are on a scale of 1:1.

Group B Worship: Ford RS200 and Audi Sport Quattro - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
To enter Group B in the 1980s, car makers had to build 200 road-going examples of the car they intended to rally. These rules created some of the most spectacular road cars of all time. I love rallying: the chance to drive an RS200 and a Sport Quattro nearly sent me to the nut-house. Fire up the Quattro! Written and presented by Chris Harris Shot and edited by David Litchfield

Lotus Exige S track test: 350hp, chassis from the Gods - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
Take the Evora S supercharged V6, change the suspension and go chase the Porsche GT3. This is the best street/track car Lotus has ever built. Let's just hope it isn't too little too late.

Nissan GT-R Track Pack v Porsche 997 Turbo S - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
It's been raining in England for the past 6 weeks, so this is a damp test. The GT-R Track Pack seems a bit half-hearted and, on-paper, the 997 turbo S is the closest rival. I went to an evening track event at Brands hatch to discover the differences/ work out if the Track pack is worth the extra cash.

Ford Shelby GT500 v Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 : Street & Circuit - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
The two muscle-motors of the moment, head-to-head. Hard to imagine a factory warranted Mustang with 670hp, or a State-subsidised 580hp Camaro!

GT3 RS 4.0: Last Drive Before Hibernation - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
English winters and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres don't mix, so I'm taking one last drive before putting the car that is rapidly bankrupting me into storage - special storage. Written and presented by Chris Harris Shot and edited by Neil Carey Additional shots by David Litchfield

Ferrari F40 LM In Car Footage
Follow me on Facebook and Instagram! Facebook.com/JTPhotos / Instagram @speedracer38 First off let me start by thanking the owner of this incredible Ferrari F40 LM for letting me mount my GoPro in his car while he took it on the track to qualify for a race!! Seeing video from inside an F40 is rare let alone the epic version of the LM. The video is very long and mostly raw footage to share the experience with all of you to check out and hopefully enjoy. This weekend was the Ferrari Racing Days at Limerock in Connecticut which had Historics and 458 Challenge series. The F40 LM qualified in first place on Friday and took home the victory on Saturday with a blisteringly fast lap time of 54 seconds. Please leave your comments and subscribe for more supercar videos. Enjoy! :)

The 2012 Porsche Boxster S - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
Porsche's new 981 Boxster is an all-new design. Bigger, but lighter than before. We went to the launch event in the South of France to see how good it was. And whether a man can now buy the girl's Porsche.
