Mercedes S-Class Coupe review
Mercedes has a tradition of building fast, elegant coupes and traditionally
it's always launched them with some sort of ground breaking technology. And
it's the same story with the S-Class Coupe.

The Mercedes S-Class Coupe is based on the new S-Class saloon and replaces
the old CL. If you want one, it'll cost you from around £100,000.
The bodywork is all new with sharp creases and a long bonnet, sloping roof
and a neat spoiler integrated into the boot lid. The range topping S63 AMG
model has a body kit and forged alloy wheels.
All S-Class Coupe models feature intelligent headlamps, and the daytime
running lights and indicator repeaters feature Swarowski crystals to
produce a clearer light.
They also get a glass panoramic sunroof which in no way impedes on rear
practicality. The sunroof can also be specced with Mercedes' 'Magic Sky'
sunroof, which darkens the glass at the touch of a button.
It's clear than Mercedes has gone all out with the interior on the C-Class
Coupe, and the cabin is different in terms of layout to the saloon.
The S63 AMG models also benefit from some sporty add ons, but rest assured
- every model in the line-up oozes quality.
Like the S-Class saloon, the S-Class Coupe is supremely comfortable thanks
to its air suspension, and the Magic Body Control improves this further.
However, the S-Class Coupe features some new ground breaking technology
called Curve Tilt Control.
This system uses the car's computer controlled suspension to lean into the
corner like a motorbike does in order to Boost comfort.
The S-Class Coupe is also supremely quiet, despite being powered by a
5.5-litre biturbo V8 and being able to
go from 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds.
The S63 AMG Coupe also comes with upgraded suspension, upgraded brakes and
an MCT gearbox. The latter isn't the smoothest system in the world, but
overall, it handles very well.
It's not an SLS though, but it's not supposed to be. It's been designed to
be a very quick, gadget laden cruiser which is the most comfortable of its
type on the market - and that's exactly what it is.

Ferrari P4/5 Competizione LOUD Sound!
I have filmed James Glickenhaus' Ferrari P4/5 Competizione in a cold and
foggy day on the Franciacorta racetrack during some track tests. This
racecar is a custom one-off based on the Ferrari 430 Scuderia with F430 GT2
engine, it has been built to compete in the 2011 Nurburgring 24h race. The
video shows the Competizione being pushed on the track with many
accelerations, fly bys and revs, so turn up the speakers!

Hemi Buildup on a '55 Chevy Bel Air! - Roadkill Ep. 29
In Episode 8 of Roadkill we introduced you to the greatest engine swap
project ever—a Hemi into a 1955 Chevy Bel Air. Nearly two years later, we
finally get Mike Finnegan's Mopar-powered Tri-Five on the road, but not
without a few problems along the way. Blown head gaskets, frayed wires, and
severe sleep-deprivation are all overcome as Finnegan, Freiburger, and
friends push to get this polarizing project car running again in time for
an epic road trip.
The BlaspHEMI '55 Chevy rides on a Jim Meyer Racing Gasser tube chassis
with Viking coilover dampers and Firestone Cheater slicks out back. Up
front the car has a tubular straight axle, parallel leaf springs and tires
small enough to fit on a VW Bug. The rear axle is a John's Industries
9-inch with 5.43:1 gears. The Hemi began life as a 528ci Mopar crate
engine, which Finnegan rebuilt with a 0.030-inch overbore, ported aluminum
heads, and a Comp Cams solid roller cam. The mill is topped off with a
Hilborn stack injection system with EFI controlled by a FAST EFI ECU. An
Aeromotive Stealth fuel tank and pump provides the fuel while MSD provides
the spark. The engine is backed by a Tremec Magnum six-speed manual gearbox
with an American Powertrain installation kit and a twin-disc clutch. The
car was wired with a Speedwires kit and the guys built their own fenderwell
headers using parts from Hedman.
To save weight, the original steel front clip was swapped out for a
lightweight fiberglass tilt front end from Unlimited Products and the
windows were replaced with lexan parts from ProGlass. The rollcage is a
10-point arrangement built from chrome-moly steel and TIG welded to the
floor and frame. To save a ton of time, High Tech Auto Wraps covered the
car in flat black vinyl instead of paint while the last of the parts were
installed onto the car.

DC SHOES: Ken Block's Gymkhana THREE, Part 2; Ultimate Playground; l'Autodrome, France
Shot just south of Paris, France in Linas at l'Autodrome de Linas
--Montlhéry, this 1.58 mile oval track, built in 1924, features banks as
steep as 51 degrees, which is more than double the standard incline of most
NASCAR ovals. Chosen by Ken for this specific reason, the ramp-like banking
proved to be a unique and exciting challenge. The driving physics for the
stunts performed were totally unknown until Ken attempted the maneuvers

New Jaguar Sedan, Tsunami Plagues Toyota Suppliers, First McLaren MP4-12C Crash
Jaguar announces a few new models on the way, one of which is a smaller
sedan that will fit below the XF and resemble the old X-Type. The Tsunami
in Japan has caused Toyota's suppliers to fall back on orders which in turn
will force infrequent factory shut downs in North America, and the First
McLaren MP4-12C has crashed. Fast Lane Daily hosted by Derek DeAngelis
