Goodwood Revival 2010
The Goodwood Revival really is a magical step back in time, a unique chance to revel in the glamour and allure of motor racing in the romantic time capsule of the golden era of motor racing at one of the world's most authentic circuits.
The Revival is the world's most popular historic motor race meeting and the only event of its kind to be staged entirely in the nostalgic time capsule of the 1940s, 50s and 60s that relives the glory days of Goodwood Motor Circuit. It is the biggest and best historic motor racing party of the year.
The Revival offers visitors the opportunity to leave the 'modern world' behind and join motor sport luminaries including Sir Stirling Moss, Richard Attwood, John Surtees and Derek Bell in an unabashed celebration of flat-out wheel-to-wheel racing around a classic racetrack, untouched by the modern world.
Goodwood Revival 2010, St Mary's Trophy, Race One
Race one of the St Mary's Trophy for saloon cars raced between 1950 and 1959. Martin Brundle was the highlight of the race for me, moving up from 4th place to challenge for the lead in his Austin A35 (car# 1), before contact with the leader punctured a tyre and ultimately put him out of the race. His efforts were more than appreciated by the crowd though! Tom Kristensen took the victory in his first visit to the Revival (driving an Austin A95 Westminster), after a good race with Patrick Watts (in the Volvo Amazon 122S) was cut short by mechanical failure.

2010 Goodwood Revival - RAC TT Celebration race
Coverage of the 2010 Goodwood Revival RAC TT Celebration race. Nice to see some Ferrari GTOs racing hard - and kicking some Cobra butt!
There were 4 GTOs and 4 250GTs in the race plus a couple of 330s and a 250 Drogo.
At 5:41 you will see the definition of a heart-attack moment: spinning someone else's multi-million dollar 250 GTO/64 to the infield. Yikes!
Goodwood Revival meeting 2010 - collision, crash - narrow escape - spectacular driving!
Video by http://www.ClassicarGarage.nl Saturday September 18 2:50 PM - During the Freddy March Memorial Trophy this Jaguar C-type driver had a 'slippery moment'. It looks like the Ferrari 166 MM just barely escapes a severe crash. Looking closely at the video it seems that the Ferrari touched the C-type with the left front into the driver door... Remember these classic racers are worth millions!
