Guy lost control of his 9 second Mazda Miata while racing at the drag strip. His excellent reaction and control saved his life. Recorded at Sacramento Raceway Park.
He regularly traps over 140+mph. If he would have slammed into the side walls or the other car, things would've been really bad. He is okay. Now let him enjoy his snow cone.
UPDATE: For those wanting to see the footage from his GoPro cameras, unfortunately, both his GoPro cameras failed to record because both cameras ran out of storage memory just after leaving the burn out pit and turned off. I know a lot of people would love to see that footage. But glad I was there to capture the event.

Miatas At The Gap XVI, a gathering of Miata enthusiasts at Deals Gap, North Carolina, took place the weekend of July 27-29, 2012. This is a video of highlights from the event, including footage from the vendor's area at Fontana Village, the Thursday Night Sunset Run on the Cherohala Skyway, the Fat Buddies BBQ Run down Wayah Road, the gathering at Fontana Dam for the group picture, the Saturday Night Beer Swap and Wine Tasting, many of the other area roads and of course the beautiful scenery. Miata muffler vs no muffler
This is my 96' 1.8 Miata. The muffler is this video is a magnaflow muffler that was cut open at both ends, had the packing taken out, and re-welded.
