2009 17th Annual DSM Shootout!
2009 17th Annual DSM Shootout! presented by Buschur Racing and Dynoflash!
Held August 15 and 16th, I took a few pictures of some cars I liked, and a few videos all of this was taken on my iPhone so don't rant that you couldn't see some stuff because I can't zoom in.
Big AL was there with the DynoFlash Evo, he whooped some ass, before I left he ran a clean 9.75 he had another run after that but I had already left so I did not catch what it was.
Overall this was the best weekend of my life.
Driving lessons for a 520 whp STI
The owner of this lovely '07 STI runs a slow time at the track - comes back to test his car on the Dyno and we give him some driving lessons. Later he goes out and beats up on Derek's EVo so the STI student graduated with flying colors.

Well we got rained out at the shootout but that certainly didn't stop us from having some fun!
STM's 2008 DSM Shootout Video
Pictures and videos from our trip to Buschur's 2008 DSM Shootout in Norwalk Ohio.
We had a problem blowing out plugs most of the day and only ran half track, letting out when it started blowing out. We got some help from Dave Buschur who gave us new coils to try on our coil-on-plug... That was the problem!
We got in 2 great passes, both 10.1@142! This car has 45,xxx miles on the STOCK bottom end. The head has never been off. Under the valve cover, we added ARP head studs and 272 cams. That's it. We are determined to see what this little 4g63 is really made of!
Last time at the track we ran 10.1@137, so we picked up a few mph, but because we have no cage in the car, we are limited to track time... wish we could have gotten in just a few more passes at Norwalk... I think The Ricer has what it takes to get there. Just need a little more time...
