1986 Mustang SVO Red OT042112
This is a car that was a bit ahead of its time. These days, turbos are almost taken for granted in the quest
for mpg...here, the Mustang
buyer was given a choice of 4, V6 or V8...and they chose the V8. But the
turbo 4 offered the bonus of better
handling. One thing that didn't help was the $4000 extra for that turbo 4. This car is in showroom condition!
1000HP Turbo 2014 Mustang GT
2014 Coyote Mustang with a
Ford Racing 9.5:1 aluminator with a CPR turbo kit using a borg warner S476 turbo, running a stock 6R80 transmission with a
Circle D converter. Fuel system is a JPC triple pump return style system
with ID2000 injectors.
The car was tuned by Adam Browne at Revolution Automotive in Maryland
Peak numbers were 1001hp/820tq on 19.9lbs of Boost on E85. Final numbers were 961hp/817tq
on 17lbs of Boost on E85 and
669hp/582tq on 10lbs of Boost on 93
octane pump gas. The smoke on decel is a combination of the catch can/PCV
setup, running E85/ID2000's and it was fairly cool in the shop, the motor
is fine and the turbo is fine.

The good stuff is about half way through the video. That being said this

as head, intakes, and Exhaust
manifold. Did find out oil breather on valve cover was leaking and has
been fixed. Now it's just a little oil past the valve seals but nothing
