Factory Five - factory tour part 2
Dave gives us the factory tour of Factory Five. He shows us how the tube
frames are prepared in the "chassis assembly." He shows us the sub assembly
section (approx 3500 parts are shipped as a chassis). He explains that
this kit is not for your average enthusiast that is not a mechanic. You
must be a mechanic to build a GTM.
Electric Factory Five 818 Project - Track Shakedown - EV West / 33 Machine
In this introduction video of the Electric 818 car by EV West and 33
Machine, we take it out to Adams Motorsport Park for an initial shakedown.
The car is powered by a HPEVS AC2-35 dual AC motor setup running at 144kW.
The car has 16kWh of capacity, and can drive about 60-70 miles on it's
lightweight lithium ion battery pack. Recharging is done through an onboard
5000kW charger, and is public charge station compatible, making this street
legal electric rocket ship a great way to run around town, and still have
track-worthy performance. The current weight of the car is 1700 pounds, but
it still needs just under 250 pounds of bodywork added to the car giving an
estimated final weight of 1950 pounds. For those looking for more
information on this project, please visit EVWest.com or 33machine.com

Factory Five Racing Cobra Replica - WR TV
While we may be living in the golden age of performance right now, there
will always be a place in the hearts and minds of gearheads the world over
for the classics.
The AC Cobra was the brainchild of Carroll Shelby, who took the gorgeous,
lightweight body of the British-made AC Ace and stuffed a Ford V8 in the
engine bay, thereby creating a legendary sports car that we still lust
after some fifty years later.
While original Cobras command price tags well into seven figure territory,
companies like Factory Five Racing offer replica kits which are much more
accessible to the average pocketbook. And as you'll see in this video,
they're almost indiscernible from the real thing in terms of aesthetics,
mechanicals, performance and sound.
This particular example features Factory Five coilover suspension, a
warmed-over 302ci motor that breathes through a great sounding set of full
length headers, and a modern Ford Racing T5Z 5-speed manual transmission.

For the best video experience, we encourage you to wear headphones or
earbuds. The audio in this video was recorded with in-ear binaural
microphones. Because these microphones record sound from inside the ear,
playing the sound through headphones gives the sensation of 3D sound. All
of this translates to a very realistic listening experience.
