Но зрители HM Channel имеют возможность совершить виртуальную поездку на S1000XR уже сегодня ;) Я обязательно сделаю подробный обзор этого замечательного мотоцикла, как только будут доступны коммерческие образцы. Тот, что видите на видео – предпродакшн версия, некоторые детали, например панели облицовки отличаются от того, как будут выглядеть мотоциклы в салонах дилеров. Поэтому крупных планов не будет. Но даже предсерийный мотик уже дает понять, что перед нами новый бестселлер. Уверен, продаваться XR будет отлично. В двух словах поделюсь впечатлениями от тест-драйва. Во- первых, это не четырехцилиндровый GS, как многие думают. Но и не лифтованный S1000R :) Правильнее всего S1000XR сравнивать с Ducati Multistrada. Т.е. перед нами кроссовер, или Adventure bike, как называют его маркетологи BMW. Некоторые владельцы Гусей жаловались на недостаток динамики на асфальте и поглядывали в сторону Мультиков и 1190. При этом они не готовы были ради мощного высокооборотистого двигателя отказаться от преимуществ эндуро-стайл посадки, увеличенного клиренса и удобства в дальних поездках. Вот для них и создан S1000XR. За возможность дубасить по городу наравне со спортбайками придется заплатить большей частью внедорожных способностей – 17-дюймовые колеса с абсолютно асфальтовым рисунком протектора (в качестве стандартных покрышек на XR будут устанавливаться Pirelli Diablo Rosso II в «спортбайковском» размере 120/70 и 190/55) не позволят особо подубасить по пампасам. Но есть и хорошая новость – валит XR очень бодро, причем сохранив присущую двигателю S1000RR «истерику» на верхах, он получил неожиданно много «мяса» внизу. Испытанный мной мотик вполне бодро разгонялся на шестой передаче уже с трех тысяч оборотов. Самый больной вопрос для владельцев S1000R – угол поворота руля тут неактуален – руль крутится почти как на гусе, т.е. маневрировать в ограниченном пространстве будет очень удобно. Не уверен, что стоило делать руль таким широким, посмотрим, каково будет в тесных пробках, но на первый взгляд сильно мешать это не должно. Два негативных момента, которые не понравились мне – это «свистящий» звук двигателя, похожий на звук мотора K1300GT и «дешевый» стоп-сигнал. Он органично смотрится на NineT, но для S1000XR можно было сделать и покрасивее, например что-то в стиле новых R1200R/RS. Youtube настаивает, что описание видео стало слишком длинным, поэтому вынужден закончить на этом. Весной будет подробный обзор с описанием всех функций мотоцикла и крупными планами. Dragshock™ / Dragshock EZ™ Suspension Demonstration
Brock's Performance president, Brock Davidson, an avid performance enthusiast and past national championship winning rider as well as tuner, explains how to adjust the rear suspension on his BMW S1000RR 'Christine' for drag race use. Follow along as he explains how the rebound dampening functions as it relates to the launch and down track acceleration between himself and his lighter 'jockeys'. Note: At 9/16th sag using a 95 Newton (542 lb.) spring with a 150 lb. rider in the saddle, a rear tire pressure of 12 psi is used. Brock's weight of around 210 lbs. suited brings the sag to 1" and a tire pressure of 18 psi is used. The bike squats a bit more than optimum, which means the spring preload should be increased a bit, or the spring rate might need to be increased -- BUT, the object is for this bike to be as fast as possible with the smaller riders--not tuned for him--so only tire pressure adjustments are made. Slick track = more rebound dampening added, more squat for more traction. Less tire pressure, if possible. Sticky Track = more spring preload, less squat, more tire pressure... although light riders tend to spin, so lower pressure is generally used. (see Jeremy's run at beginning of video, it is very close to perfect.) Bumpy Track = If the racing surface is exceptionally bumpy, the rebound dampening must be reduced (example adjust from -15 clicks to -20 clicks) to prevent high speed 'oscillation'. Stock or Short Wheelbase Applications = Stock/Short wheelbase bikes do not require as much 'squat', because they are not as prone to spinning. Since more squat leads to additional traction, this can also cause stock wheelbase bikes to wheelie. As a result, we would have a bit more static spring pressure dialed in, with more compression dampening and less rebound dampening (to force the front end back down as the rear rises).
