Short Takes: 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac (Start Up, Engine, Tour)
In continuation of my "Short Takes" video series at All City Auto, I give a tour of a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this truck while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this truck designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

When the Ford Explorer Sport Trac made its debut in 2000, it was a new idea. Based on the Explorer midsize SUV, it was a truck, with sport-utility characteristics, four doors, a short cargo bed and features to enhance the active lifestyles of its intended buyers. Since then, similar vehicles have followed, including the Chevrolet Avalanche, Cadillac Escalade EXT, and, more recently, the Honda Ridgeline. Now in its second generation, the Sport Trac has grown up, both in size and sophistication. Like the original, it continues to offer rear- or four-wheel drive, seating for five and cargo utility.
