This is one wild Vega! Runs 10.30s at 131 MPH yet is still very streetable. The horsepower on this GT is provided by a 383 stroker with forged crank, H beam rods, JE forged pistons, World Products Bill Mtchell Racer Special heads with Manley 2.05" and 1.6" valves, ported and polished, an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake, Barry Grant carburetor that has been flow bench tested and adjusted, square ground Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam with .600 lift, Crane roller rockers, stud girdle, MSD 6AL box, Mallory Unilite distributor, Hooker coated Super Competition headers, and more! Other upgrades include, Aluminum Griffen radiator, high torque mini starter, mechanical and electric fans, a built Powerglide with 1.76 gears, turbo shaft, transmission brake, and an 8" torque converter with 4500 stall. The rear end is a Dana 60 that has been narrowed, with Moser axles and 3.73 gears. Car comes with Richmond 4.88 gears and Strange axles. 77 vega 350 v8 for sale fast and furious
1977 chevy vega .
Solid southern car from Tennessee, I have the Tennessee title!! Its been
kept in a garage never driven since its in ny and .never seen snow or
salt.!virtualy rust free it has a 1970s 350 v8 and turbo 350 trans that was installed in Tennessee,
runs good and drives!! It has new wheels and tires.I bought it from a guy
here on LI who had bought it on eBay and had it shipped from Tennessee he
never registered it.He had plans of restoring it with his son but never had
the time. I bought it from him, drove it home put it in the garage where it
has sat for 2 years. My plan for the car was to make it into a dragster! You
never see one of these on the road but if ya go to the track there all over
the place!Vegas are very light you can fit any motor in them an abundance
of hi- performance parts are still available (fiberglass hoods, motor
mounts,frontend parts,v8 springs,rollcage rearend parts oil
pan,headers.ect.ect) through jegs or any online parts house. If you google
chevy vega youll see, also search youtube for hundreds of videos of vegas
in action!!thats what I did and I was hooked!! But Im sorry to say I have
gotten sidetracked by many other projects (a Honda) and need to pass this
one on to someone that will give the car the tlc it needs.
Being from Tennesse the car seems to have been worked on by a hillbilly,To
drive it the way it is it will need some finishing.(proper motor mounts,v8
springs, and an electric fan)The car has some cosmetic issues a few dings,a
small dent behind the rear fender well and some small dents in the hood
probably caused by a broken motor mount..
The car seems to have been re painted sometime during its lifetime it
mostly looks good but in some spots
the paint appears to have peeled and hillbilly painted over the areas with
spray paintspray paint is also evident in the interior with some overspray
on the windows. But overall not that bad, nothing that cant be fixed!!

1977 Dodge Colt Hemi Comparison Ford Pinto Chevy Vega Chevette Datsun B210 Promo
This is a 1977 Dodge Promotional film which could have been viewed in any
of the Dodge Dealers across America that had the Dodge Demo Screen. The
Dodge Colt was a range of cars built by Mistubishi. This was in 1977, one
full year before the Dodge Omni was introduced. This was all Dodge and
Chrysler had for the subcompact Market. These were also sold in Canada and
Puerto Rico as Plymouths. This is a film that compares the Colt and it's
features to the Vega, Pinto, Chevette and Datsun B210.
