This is one wild Vega! Runs 10.30s at 131 MPH yet is still very streetable. The horsepower on this GT is provided by a 383 stroker with forged crank, H beam rods, JE forged pistons, World Products Bill Mtchell Racer Special heads with Manley 2.05" and 1.6" valves, ported and polished, an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake, Barry Grant carburetor that has been flow bench tested and adjusted, square ground Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam with .600 lift, Crane roller rockers, stud girdle, MSD 6AL box, Mallory Unilite distributor, Hooker coated Super Competition headers, and more! Other upgrades include, Aluminum Griffen radiator, high torque mini starter, mechanical and electric fans, a built Powerglide with 1.76 gears, turbo shaft, transmission brake, and an 8" torque converter with 4500 stall. The rear end is a Dana 60 that has been narrowed, with Moser axles and 3.73 gears. Car comes with Richmond 4.88 gears and Strange axles. Tires are M/T 31x16.50x15 at the rear and skinny M/Ts up front. Suspension is a four link with coil over shocks. This car is fast enough to hit the track, but is also great for cruising! Tons of work done to this Vega GT making it one of a kind! Don't miss your chance to own this street and strip Chevy for way less than it cost to build! Please, call 800-231-3616 for additional details.

Junkyard Rescue! Saving a 1950 GMC Truck - Roadkill Ep. 31
One of the most incredible junkyards in the history of junk is Turner's
Auto Wrecking in Fresno, California—and on this episode of Roadkill,
Freiburger and Finnegan hit those 100 acres of vintage sheetmetal and go
spelunking for gold! After considerable debate, the guys select a 1950 GMC
shortbed truck that had been off the road for 26 years and jam to get it
running and driving for the trip home to Los Angeles. At least there was a
50-percent victory. Watch as the guys revamp the Jimmy inline six, panic
over a wrecked master cylinder, sweat their cajones off for four days, and
explore one of the greatest old-car stashes ever!

1976 Chevrolet Vega with a 400 V8
1976 Chevrolet Vega with a custom installed 400 c.i.d. V8. I spotted this
car on the PA turnpike near New Stanton,PA. It was being towed home to Ohio
after a visit to an action in Atlantic City, New Jersey. I don't think it
was a true GT but it was a really nicely maintained example of a rare
classic 70's Vega.
