TWS CCW , Oct 2, 2010, Red Run Group. Z4M has street tire, 245/35 front Kumho XS, 275/35 rear Dunlop Start spec and KW CS. The tires has been used for 6 track days. It probably have 2 more track days left....I will start using R-compound the next time to improve grip and laptime. The silver E46 M3 with NT01 tires is very well driven. It took me many laps to get closer to it,

Test BMW Z4 M Roadster
Marc Surer präsentiert in der Motorshow TCS den neuen BMW Z4 M Roadster. Extérieur Unser Testauto, der BMW Z4 M Roadster, kostet mit seinen Optionen 97'000 Franken. Die M-Version zeigt sich bereits äusserlich deutlich muskulöser als ihre leistungsschwächeren Geschwister. Die BMW-Niere ist tiefer, und zwei mächtige Lufteinlässe in der Frontschürze symbolisieren die Kraft. Unter der Haube befindet sich ein alter Bekannter. Der Reihensechszylinder stammt aus dem M3 und gehört zu einem der feinsten und schönsten Motoren auf dem Markt. Intérieur Auf den lederbezogenen Sitzen des M-Roadster nimmt man nicht einfach Platz, man wird sprichwörtlich aufgenommen. Seitenführung und Schenkelauflage sind vorbildlich ausgestaltet. Der kurze Schalthebel liegt griffig, und die Wechsel können rasch und knackig erfolgen. Technik Das Starten des Triebwerks manifestiert sich durch ein dumpfes Grollen. Bei den verschiedenen Drehzahlbereichen reicht die atemberaubende Geräuschkulisse von kernig-satt bis zu heiser-brüllend. Für einen potenten Sportwagen lässt sich auch die Kupplung mit geringem Kraftaufwand bedienen. Die Lenkung ist äusserst präzise und überträgt ausreichende Rückmeldung. Wenn man die Sporttaste auf der Mittelkonsole drückt, wird die Lenkung einen Tick direkter, und der Motor spricht spontaner an. Nicht in jedem Temperaturzustand lassen sich die hohen Drehzahlbereiche des M-Roadsters abrufen. In Abhängigkeit zur Motoröltemperatur werden beim Kaltstart die oberen Drehzahlbereiche sukzessive erweitert. Fahrverhalten Der potente BMW Z4 M-Roadster umrundet die Kurven souverän und nahezu neutral. In der Fahrwerkabstimmung wirkt er nicht unbequem hart und baut kaum Seitenneigung auf. Auch das Heck zeigt kaum Tendenzen zum unkontrollierten Ausbrechen und verdeutlicht seine Herkunft mit vier armdicken, verchromten Endrohren und einem Diffusor. Die neu gestalteten Heckleuchten verfügen über zweistufige Bremslichter, die bei einer Vollbremsung mit erhöhter Intensität den Hintermann warnen. Fazit Der Münchner Power-Roadster dürfte mit seinem Preis von rund 97'000 Franken kaum zum Strassenecken-Cabrio mutieren und sich eher als Einzelgänger für eine elitäre Klientel etablieren. Trotzdem, Freude daran haben kann man auch beim Hinsehen und Hinhören. Negativ -schlecht ablesbare Instrumente -Schalter der Warnblinkanlage ist zu nahe an der Handbremse -die altmodische Stabantenne Positiv -drehzahlfreudiger Motor -ausgewogenes Fahrwerk -schnelles Verdeck

It is a two-door grand tourer made by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany. It has a distinctive design, rear-engined and with independent rear suspension, an evolution of the swing axle on the Porsche 356. Since its introduction in 1963,[1] it has undergone continuous development, though the basic concept has remained little changed.[2] The engine was air-cooled until the introduction of the Type 996 in 1998. Throughout its lifetime, the 911 has been modified by private teams and by the factory itself for racing, rallying and other forms of automotive competition. It is among the most successful competition cars ever. In the mid-1970s, naturally aspirated 911 Carrera RSRs won major world championship sports car races such as Targa Florio, Daytona, Sebring and Nürburgring, even against prototypes. The 911-derived 935 turbo also won the coveted 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1979. In the 1999 international poll for the award of Car of the Century, the 911 came fifth.[3] It is one of two in the top five that had remained continuously in production (the original Beetle remained in production until 2003),[4] and was until 1998 the most successful surviving application of the air- (now water-) cooled opposed rear-engine layout pioneered by its original ancestor, the Volkswagen Beetle. It is one of the oldest sports coupe nameplates still in production, and 820,000 had been sold by the car's 50th anniversary in 2013.
