Gumball 3000 - 2010 - Amsterdam - May 1st - Part 1
Finish of the first stage (London - Amsterdam) of the famous Gumball 3000 Rally, edition 2010. On May 1st, the cars arrived at the "Waterlooplein" in Amsterdam. Among the arriving cars in this video (part 1 of 2) are the Aston Martin DBS, Audi A5, Audi R8, Bentley Continental Flying Spur, Bentley Continental GT, BMW M5, BMW Z8, Corvette, Dino, Dodge RAM, Ferrari 458 Italia, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, Ferrari F430, Ford Mustang, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lamborghini Murciélago, Maserati GranTurismo, Mercedes-Benz CLS, Mercedes-Benz ML, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Mini Cooper, Porsche Carrera, Porsche Cayenne and the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé. The Dino nearly crashed into the crush-barriers. Among the participating stars are Xzibit (in the white Cayenne), Tony Hawk, Sheikh Mohammad Al Thani (in the Drophead Coupé), Eve and Idris Elba. The founder and organizer of the Gumball 3000 Rally, Maximillion Cooper, drives the Morgan Aeromax Coupé.
Gumball 3000 2010 has visited London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Boston, Quebec City, Toronto and New York (finish on May 7th).

The film that really set it all off.
We waited on the side of the highway to find some fast Gumball cars to race with. After waiting for more then 4 hours "Lonman" drove up in his modified Porsche GT 2 and the rest is history. It is from this short film that the Gumball's motto was made, "It's not a Race, It's a Rally". Also we gave the footage to be used in "Gumball 3000: The Movie" and it was used as the climax race scene. The repercussions from this films popularity can be seen in "Vehicular Lunatics" and our new film "Team Tork and the Scumballers".
PS. The helicopter at the end was not a police helicopter as feared but rather the Gumball film crew helicopter.

All Gumball 3000 participants have the full support of the Canadian people (minus law enforcement). We hope Maximillion Cooper and his organization will consider Canada for future Gumball events. I have filmed an arab turquoise Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce starting up and then making a crazy launch control in the middle of the road in London! Such an epic scene, i have never seen something like this before!!
Update - In November 2010 the car has been crashed in Hide Park, London, the high speed crash involved also a BMW M5. Here below a link to the picture of the crash.
