1989 Bandimere Pro Stock Final
This is the Pro Stock final at the 1989 Bandimere speedway in Denver. Bob Glidden versus Jerry Eckman obviously prior to Eckman's Nitrous back-fire and subsequent lifetime ban from NHRA Drag Racing. There were lots of rumors about Glidden due to his dominance during this period. I am not aware of any violations made by Bob and it is hard to argue with his success. I heard but never got the full story that Bob and Etta broke up years later.

The Phat Ford Probe drew the bye in the first round at Texas Pro Stock's race in Houston only to blow a gasket and miss the wall by inches giving the crowd an unexpected thrill in this bye run. Killing a ford probe
My daily driver had the cam go flat, so we decided to completely kill it off before replacing the engine. 4 days after engine was replaced, the #5 rod bearing spun. We made another video you can see linked after this one where we killed it off with Nitrous. The car is now my daily driver and drives awesome. No permanent harm was done to the car by any means and literally everything under the hood is new.
