2014 Acura RLX on the dragstrip at Firebird International Raceway in Phoenix. This was the dealer introduction and training for Acura sales consultants. The times shown were essentially 'hand timed' with four people in the car. I think with another run or two, we could have gotten a better launch and less weight would have helped too.

What Camerons Car Reviews has to say about the RLX: Some people say
"Finally!" as to meaning Acura finally as a decent flagship on their hands
replacing the terribly outdated RL. The new RLX now features more
technology that's worth noting and the seats are very comfortable in the
RLX feeling silky smooth like a Lexus. Acura's new signature jewel LED
Headlights are also a new first to Acura and it should lure some buyers in.
Compare to the new Cadillac XTS, they are both great cars however the XTS
will offer better technology and the Acura will be the reliability king as
well as the resale value king, A V8 is not available under the hood as well
as the RLX does not offer Real Wheel Drive. Power comes from a 3.5 L V6
with 6-Speed Automatic with a Hybrid coming later this year. All in all
great car from Acura.

Discussion about this Video:
I feel like I should have made this video a while ago but the opportunity
never came up. Since I had this RL in my shop that had a check engine
light AND an ABS light I thought it was a perfect opportunity to put this
video together. I get asked all the time about my 'special tool' and it's
really nothing more than a Honda 2 pin connector with the input wires
soldered together. These connectors might be harder to find than you think
but if you run across a junk honda and one of these is on the harness grab
it. Even if you don't have the tool a paper clip or piece of wire will do
the exact same thing so don't sweat it if you don't have the tool because
shorting the connector is all you need to do.
I hope you find this video helpful.
