NEW Infiniti Q50! FAIL or WIN for Infiniti? You decide!
Infiniti has just released the new car, the Infiniti Q50 which replaces the Infiniti G series. EPIC fail on the new names and the styling or is this a home run for Infiniti? You tell me! :)
Harness The Wind - Traditionally the enemy of performance, wind can now also be an ally. Designed with zero-lift aerodynamics, Q50's upper and lower body specifically direct the flow of air over, around and under the vehicle, turning it into an incredibly effective downforce generator. Combined with a stiffer suspension, this holistic approach to aerodynamics helps to reduce the effects of wind turbulence - even at freeway speeds - for an enhanced feeling of grip and control.
VISIONARY SPORT DESIGN
The Q50 Sport Model - It makes its entrance with a signature sport grille and unique air-dam. 19" split-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels, each endowed with sport pistons and rotors for pure stopping power, are precisely contained within their arched wells. But this Infiniti is designed to move. And from the moment its sport leather-appointed seats embrace you, you're just a magnesium paddle-shift away from seven visionary dimensions of performance.
TWO DIMENSIONS OF ENGINE POWER
Yours To Choose - The exhilarating performance of Infiniti's 3.7-liter 24-valve V6 engine is exceeded by only one thing - the power of the 3.5 liter, 6-cylinder lithium-ion battery augmented hybrid. Yes, hybrid. The perfect balance of speed and efficiency.
THE MOST ADVANCED EXPRESSION OF INFINITI PERFORMANCE
Performance Hybrid - Conventional luxury sedans resort to larger engines to improve performance. The Q50 Hybrid uses a Lithium-Ion battery to unleash a torrent of supplementary power when accelerating. This power is channeled through its Intelligent Dual Clutch to deliver full-torque performance without sacrificing fuel efficiency. Even more amazing, the system partially recharges itself every time you step on the brakes.
A WORLD'S FIRST STEERING TECHNOLOGY
Direct Adaptive Steering - Control. Precision. Adaptability. Handling's triple-crown. Now, after over ten years of research and development, it is firmly within reach. This world's first system uses electronics to streamline the steering mechanism for a more precise feeling behind the wheel. Over rough or uneven roads, this moderates the need for constant, subtle adjustment, imparting a commanding feeling of controllability while helping shield the driver from excessive road vibrations.
FROM S-CURVE TO SUNDAY DRIVE
Personalized drive modes - Infiniti's ground-breaking Direct Adaptive Steering system, lets you customize your ride with four driver-selectable steering modes. Choose Personal Touring, Sport or Standard from several customizable options modes to reflect the needs of the drive or simply your mood. And in Personal Custom mode, Steering effort and response can be personalized, freeing you to command the road on your terms. [*]

What Camerons Car Reviews has to say about the Q50: For 2014 Infiniti has
an all new replacement for the long in the tooth G Sedan and it's the Q50.
For the 2014 model year Infiniti is renaming all of their SUV's and Cars to
start with the letter Q to make it seem more simpler. The 2014 Infiniti Q50
was originally supposed to be the new G Sedan. The new Q50 should not be
overlooked as this car is a true luxury sports sedan. On the new Q50 you
will find two fuel efficient and powerful powertrains a 3.7 L V6 which
delivers decent fuel economy and great power as well as a 3.5 L V6 Hybrid
which all are made into a modern 7-Speed Automatic. On the interior you
will find it to be pretty luxurious with nice high quality materials and
excellent sport bolstered seats. There are two huge screens in the new Q50
one used for your navigation and radio and one used for your Infiniti
InTouch Apps to access apps as you would on your smartphone. The screen you
touch which is the bottom one tends to be very responsive and both of these
touch screens give a very modern feel to the Q50. On the exterior the
design flavor is more daring with a nice look at me road presence on the
front end and nice curves are also evident all around too. Compared to it's
competitors the Q50 is a very engaging sports sedan to drive and the new
Q50 competes very well against the ever popular 3 Series, ATS, IS, and C
Class. So is this luxury sports sedan worth looking at? Yes it is very fuel
efficient and powerful powertrains, engaging driving dynamics, and a modern
high tech roomy interior make it a very worthy choice in the Luxury sport

There is no overstating how significant this car is for the Infiniti brand
as well as for the market in general. Incredible power and handling the
envy of the category are mere bullet points in the catalogue of cutting
edge technology that takes Infiniti a quantum leap into the future/
This car reads what is happening 2 cars ahead as opposed to what is
happening directly in front of you. If the car 2 cars ahead hits the
brakes and the car in front of you is slow to respond, Infiniti takes
matters into its own hands and readies the car for everything from a tap of
the brakes to coming top a complete stop, before the driver even knows
what's going on.
This new Q50 reads the edges of the lane you are in. No big deal, right?
Except, it reads them so well that it can stay in the center of the lane
without you having any contact with the steering wheel, even around turns,
even around sharp turns when you are driving fast.
Oh, and that steering wheel? It's not even connected to a steering shaft,
but rather, it's a fancy joystick in the video game of your dreams. Since
it's virtual, you can adjust it Lexus soft, so you can steer with one
finger, or Formula 1 quick, because that's just how you like it. It's not
only fail safe, it's double fail safe in case of catastrophic loss of
power...beyond that, if everything goes to heck, the steering mechanism
directly and instantaneously engages a manual steering column to avert
Oh, and this car is the most powerful in it's category, by a lot. And
despite all of that technology, it still comes with a 4/60 bumper to bumper
warranty and a 6/70 powertrain warranty.
And it has a 360 degree around-view camera, Infiniti Personal Assistant
giving you a live 24 hour personal concierge, a computer screen as well as
a navigation screen and more, MUCH, MUCH more.
