Here is a short sequence I made documenting S.W. and the Boost Logic crew setting the Texas Mile record at 246mph. I would like to thank them for allowing me to go along and document their process, it was a blast and I look forward to going again. The car is a 1995 Toyota Supra Hardtop with roughly 1,300rwhp, I believe the turbo is a 91mm.

These are 2 of the Lamborghinis from Underground Racing at the Texas Mile in October 2010. There was another orange one but it was destroyed in a wreck Saturday morning. These cars were running between 230mph and 240mph.

At the Texas Mile, October 2010, Bill Warner of Wild Bros Racing goes 278.6 mph in a standing start mile, on a 650rwhp turbo charged Suzuki Hayabusa Streetbike. On board video taken facing rearward using an AiM Sports SmartyCam with in-video display of GPS speed. (sample rate of the in camera GPS does not allow recording of the top speed that was set in the timing traps)

Texas Mile Corvette Crash - March 2011
The Texas Mile record holder for a Corvette at 224mph!
This Corvette was built by Hinson Motorsports - over 1400rwhp
I don't have the 224mph pass on video but I caught the 221mph pass.
It looks like one of the tires went out and caused the car to veer hard to the right. The driver was ok, he walked away from the crash.

2010 Texas Mile Compilation
A mostly abandoned airport in Goliad, Texas was transformed into a speed freak Mecca as the Texas Mile pitted turbod Supras against American muscle, Italian exotics, wicked Veedubs and even a diesel-powered Mustang in a 200 MPH+ test of wills and tuning.
Big Red Camaro Road Racer Runs the Texas Mile Video thanks to GoPro Camera
The Outlaw Big Red Camaro driven by RJ Gottlieb under the direction of crew chief Dave Ward drove to Texas to run the Standing Mile known as THE TEXAS MILE. Circumstances only allowed them a couple runs and on the easy check out run they ran 204.79. No Power Adders, just brute Detroit horspower. Pretty impressive if you see how early they shut off. GoPro video got the action.
