Video taken of first engine startup after the SC was installed. Bumper, engine covers and driver's side headlight aren't on yet, but the video is to show that car starts up fine with CELs and idle hiccups.
BMW 330ci Supercharged On Dyno !!!
Here we have a BMW 330ci that we had previously done Exhaust and tune, since we have added the
- VF Engineering Supercharger Kit
- Autowerks Hand made dual 2.5inch Exhaust system
- Custom tune to suit
- 4 psi Boost
The result was healthy 196.3kws / 263hp at the wheels,on the road this car
was awsome, with super smooth response with a sweet Exhaust note with zero drone, the power delivery
of the VF Engineering Supercharger was
phenominal with whisper quiet operation keep this 330ci in stealth mode...a
must for any BMW 330CI owner !
Active Autowerke Supercharged BMW 330Ci
This is my supercharged BMW 330Ci. I am considering selling this kit. This
video was taken literally minutes before the entire system came out of the
I had to remove it because of the state of California :(. The Supercharger was in perfect working order. The
light hissing you hear as the throttle opens up is the check valve between
the idle control valve and the right 90 degree elbow seen from this
perspective. There is nothing wrong with the system.
Although I never put my car on a Dyno, Active Autowerke claims
the car makes in the 300 hp to 320 hp range with this kit which is
approximately a 50% increase in this engine's power. The butt Dyno seems to agree.
The kit has a Rotrex Supercharger (no
clutch) and a modest sized JDM Intercooler. Peak Boost is approximately 8 psi.
The Tire-Punishing, 400HP Turbo BMW E30! - /TUNED
The BMW E30 is quickly becoming a cult classic among the DIY, autocross,
and track crowd. And though the M3 version may be climbing so quickly in
price, soon no one will be able to afford one, the 325i, as it turns out,
has some chops as a great platform for tuning. Kameron Baker's homebuilt
E30 is just about the nicest one we've seen, and if you think it looks
great, wait till you see how it drives.
