Bugatti Veyron CHASE! R8 V10 Spyder left behind...

My Audi R8 V10 Spyder was no match for the Bugatti Veyron but made for a hugely enjoyable drive! At last week's The Supercar Kids' event, Jay Broom (aka JayKayBi) offered the chance to spend the day with something rather special, a Bugatti Veyron! And not just any Veyron, the 16.4 Coupe belonging to Lord Pembroke of Wilton House, home of the annual Wilton Classic and Supercars event, one of my personal favourite events in the annual car calendar taking place each August. Wilton is also home to the soon to commence 'Wilton Wakeup' events, kicking off in spring 2013 they will be Sunday morning gatherings for car nuts in the West of England, more information is to follow on that front! The Veyron itself is wrapped in a Gulf-inspired livery, created by radio-controlled-car painter Ian Cook of PopBangColour and placed on the car to promote the Wilton Classic and Supercars event. A Quicksilver Sports Exhaust system is also installed in the Bugatti, giving it extra noise; an area the car is often criticised. The sound it made on first start from cold certainly took me by surprise! The car is confirmed for a reveal on July 11 but won't reach showrooms until 2018. It will arrive as a 2019 model. The new A8, the nameplate’s fourth generation, is the first model to be styled under the guidance of Marc Lichte who took over the design reins at Audi in late 2013. He’s already previewed the new look with the series of Prologue concepts, which, judging by our latest spy shots and video, the new A8 will closely resemble. The size of the vehicle isn’t changing much compared with the current A8, though the nose looks to be a little longer. Under the new sheet metal is the latest evolution of Audi's MLB platform, which is destined for a number of Audi models and even some from Volkswagen, such as the new Touareg. The latest MLB platform made its debut in the 2017 Q7 and brings significant weight savings and compatibility with alternative powertrains. The basic engine lineup should be similar to the current A8’s offerings, meaning V-6 and V-8 units. A W-12 is also likely to be offered once more, and we should see a plug-in hybrid option and possibly even a battery-electric option later in the life cycle. Some models are also likely to feature an electric compressor, particularly diesels. Don't expect any diesels to be sold in the U.S., though. There will also be loads of new technologies to aid the driver. For example, the new A8 will be the first Audi capable of handling some situations in full self-driving mode. It will be able to handle parking situations as well as driving in traffic at speeds of up to 37 mph thanks to a new feature called Traffic Jam Pilot. Other advancements should include a new infotainment system with gesture control, plus new lighting technologies including organic LEDs in the taillights. Also in the works is the sporty S8 variant, spy shots for which can be seen here. "Mercedes S-Class BMW 8 Series, 7 Series New 2017 Test Drive interior New 2017 Test Drive" "SUBSCRIBE NOW"

Rolls Royce Sweptail Pagani Huayra Roadster : The Pagani Huayra Roadster is the company’s most complicated project ever and began in 2010 with the basic idea of removing the top and adding conventional doors. The Italian exotic automaker says it scrapped the design three years later and started from the beginning of the design process, calling the Huayra Roadster a completely new project. McLaren P1 GTR : McLaren Special Operations is reportedly working on a street-legal P1 GTR model that will be limited to just 25 units and will be priced around $3 million. Earlier this year, the British automaker debuted its P1 GTR, a lightweight track-only hypercar that weighs just 3,170 lbs and makes 1000 metric horses (986 hp). With a wider body than the standard production P1, the P1 GTR has enhanced aerodynamics that increase downforce by 10 percent. Lykan Fenyr SuperSport : In 2013, W Motors announced it would manufacture a second line of supercars. A supercar with a production limited to 25 units per year, a special focus on high-performance and more discreet luxury details when compared with the ones Lykan HyperSport is known for. The Fenyr SuperSport will feature a 4.0L twin-turbocharged Flat-6 with 900 hp (670 kW; 910 PS) and 810 lb·ft (1,100 N·m), with a 0–60 mph performance time of 2.7 seconds, and a top speed over 245 mph. Lamborghini Veneno Roadster : Under the Veneno’s hood, Lamborghini installed the same 6.5 liter, V-12 engine found in the Aventador, but with the output increased to 750 horsepower. Combined with a total weight of just 3,278 pounds, this results in a power-to-weight ratio of just 4.38 pounds/horsepower. This fantastic power-to-weight ratio allows the new Veneno Roadster to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and up to a top speed of 221 mph. Rolls Royce Sweptail : The Sweptail, which made its debut at the 2017 Concorso d’Eleganza in Lake Como, Italy, is inspired by coach built Rolls-Royces of the 1920s and 1930s. The Sweptail was custom ordered for an alleged sum of $12.8 million USD, which if accurate would make it the most expensive new car of all time. The interior is similarly impressive with contrasting open-pore leathers and Ebony trim throughout. (Italian: [lambor??i?ni] ( listen)) is an Italian brand and manufacturer of luxury sports cars and, formerly, SUVs, which is owned by the Volkswagen Group through its subsidiary brand division Audi. Lamborghini's production facility and headquarters are located in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy. In 2011, Lamborghini's 831 employees produced 1,711 vehicles. Ferruccio Lamborghini, an Italian manufacturing magnate, founded Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini S.p.A. in 1963 to compete with established marques, including Ferrari. The company gained wide acclaim in 1966 for the Miura sports coupé, which established rear mid-engine, rear wheel drive as the standard layout for high-performance cars of the era. Lamborghini grew rapidly during its first decade, but sales plunged in the wake of the 1973 worldwide financial downturn and the oil crisis. The firm's ownership changed three times after 1973, including a bankruptcy in 1978. American Chrysler Corporation took control of Lamborghini in 1987 and sold it to Malaysian investment group Mycom Setdco and Indonesian group V'Power Corporation in 1994. In 1998, Mycom Setdco and V'Power sold Lamborghini to the Volkswagen Group where it was placed under the control of the group's Audi division. New products and model lines were introduced to the brand's portfolio and brought to the market and saw an increased productivity for the brand Lamborghini. In the late 2000s, during the worldwide financial crisis and the subsequent economic crisis, Lamborghini's sales saw a drop of nearly 50 percent. Lamborghini produces sports cars and V12 engines for offshore powerboat racing. Lamborghini currently produces the V12-powered Aventador and the V10-powered Huracán.
