SR20 510 GoPro Hero2

Playing with my new Gopro Hero2. Its pretty awesome. We tried to show off the shifter that was custom made but it is kinda hard to see. This is not my car, I was just going for a ride. The driver was tuning it for someone on pump gas. E85 tune was the previous day but he ran out, and its unavailable in town. Datsun 510, Sr20det, MS engine management. mild build street L20b with cam and R1 carbs on bogg bros manifold, ZX gearbox and 3.89 gears. Never went over 5900rpm. 2nd gear is too tall for this road. Just a demonstration of how smooth the carburetors are without completely dialing them in. Still could use a few minor adjustments. Not meant to be 'fast ' or pushing the car to its limits, just having some fun on a windy road. update- lol my first downvote! Haters gonna hate. I'm not gonna slow down I'm already going slow, grandma!





Sounds of a Sleeper - Supercharged V6 Datsun 510
This 71 Datsun 510 has been highly modified for hillclimbs and autox competitions, and is very similar in appearance to the 510 recently featured on Jay Leno's garage. The 3.3L VG is a V6 pulled from a Nissan Pathfinder, and has been raised to well above 400 horsepower made possible by the Vortech Supercharger. This is the first known setup and installation into a Datsun 510, and has been proven over years of racing. The 2in Exhaust front-to-back gives it a great sound, and is one of the few clues into this sleeper since there is no Intercooler. The Subaru limited slip differential helps keep it in line up when peeling out into 4th gear. Enjoy the sound!

Datsun 510 SR20DET
Been a wile since my last video. Not long after I took the video I tore the car apart and have been slowing collecting the parts I needed. It's a fully built SR20. Hks cams and cam gears, cp forged pistons bored .5, cosworth head gasket, 810cc injectors, 57trim .60ar T3 turbo, tial WG greddy BOV. Also put an R200 CLSD in it to handle my projected 400whp.





Datsun 1600 510 SR20DET Turbo AKA FIVETEN
Walkaround & Driving my Datsun 1600 AKA FIVETEN. Its a 1972 Aus Delivered 1600 and has been fittted with an S13 SR20DET Engine & Gearbox, GT28 BB turbo, Microtech ECU, Exhaust, FMIC and the usual bolt ons. Has fully upgraded suspension, brakes (hilux 4 pot front and r31 rear) and a reupholstered interior, recaro seats etc. Car is painted in Alfa Romeo flat black.

Well I ended up trading the turbo b16 Civic for the Sr20det swapped Nissan 240sx s13 hatchback. Now currently uninstalling the ka24det out of the datsun to swap into the s13 so i can sell it and recover a little Coin to further the progress on the datsun. Datsun 510 with Honda S2000 engine
Collection of pictures showing how a stock Datsun 510 got his swap from a 03 s2000 donor ;it takes almost the same time chopping the frame for either other swap, so I felt more confortable swapping a s2k engine & tranny on it. I didn't know where to start, but somehow everything started to taking place in a house garage with some basic tool that my grampa left me. Overall this could be called as frankestein swap because of the info and parts used. Ei: Subaru R160 LSD, Nissan Maxima rear calipers with KYB AGX Mitsubishi Eclipse adj shocks , front brakes and suspention provided by Datsun 280zx shocks with eibach springs and Nissan 240sx camber plates with tokiko adj shocks,Datsun 210 brake Booster with 280zx master cilinder, 04 S2000 motor/ tranny with a custom crossmember 50%honda 50% datsun driveshaft. S2000 Cluster on 510 frame, old recaro front seats with Mitsubishi EvoVIII rear seat. mix and match for the datsun / honda wireharness and fuse box , AEM standalone system. Griffin Ford Mustang radiator, with AN radiator hoses.... the list goes for the wiring , same as the brake system and plumbing. It took me around 7-8 months to finish it , working mostly at night and weekdays. The main issue was to keep the most of the original geometry of the Datsun...and basically remained the same, only for the tranny tunnel wich it was extended. custom header and Exhaust, muffler provided by Greddy RSX type S muffler gave a low tone on the open pipe Exhaust. the car ran around last months of 08' ..still need some work as the interior carpet and sound system but heeeey... who cares when you can rev 9k rpm's....!
