But in this case both trucks have one significant thing in common...they both come equipped with the same Ford 6.2L engine. In fact the Raptor's 6.2L V8 is tuned with a few more ponies from the factory. So how do these two different trucks with the same engine compare when it comes to towing. We decide to find out by taking both trucks up the TFLtruck Ike Gauntlet Mega towing torture test in classic mashup review. Ford 4.6l 3v & 5.4L 3v Camshaft Phaser Knocking Noise Fix
In this video I detail Camshaft Phaser repair on the 5.4l 3v engines but the procedure is the same for the 4.6l 3v engine. Phaser Bolt: Torque to 30 ft lbs then an additional 90 degrees. The crankshaft is always being turned in a clockwise direction until the last positioning of the crankshaft in which we spin it counter clockwise 180 degrees. Proper positioning of cam lobes for roller follower removal. 1969 Ford Taunus 20m RS P7b
My 1969 Taunus RS 2dr saloon. A quick once around the block before she's put away for winter and re-wired. Carburettor has been converted to a 38/38 DGAS Weber and K&N 3" tall pancake filter (engine rebuild and new parts fitted since photo of lump). Engine retains original cam shaft to keep stock characteristics and maintain torque lower done the rpm's. Head has been skimmed, all internals replaced. Very small hone/overbore with new pistons rods shells etc. Inlet manifold has been ported and polished and step down between Weber and original Solex carb ground away and polished out. Facet red top ticker fuel pump (now located to rear) and Filter King glass filter and pressure gauge. Luminition ignition with rev limiter. Full stainless Exhaust, with just up and over axel to be replaced next.....but keeping Cherry Bomb silencer! ;-) She has just had the engine stripped down and fully rebuilt and has only done around 300m since. Hence why I don't open the taps fully.......yet! At around 2k i'll have her set up again, but at the moment she's a little lean low end, and rich up top.

They've also beefed up the F-450 to make it even tougher. The new Power Stroke features a larger GT37 turbocharger that measures 72.5 millimeters in diameter versus the smaller GT32 it replaces which came in at 64 millimeters. This means Exhaust gases have a larger surface area to spin the turbo so you'll get extra power.
