1964 Porsche 356 C Coupe " SOLD " Drage's International Classic Sales 206-533-9600
1964 PORSCHE 356 C COUPE. # 128476. 3 owner Porsche. Another great feature, I could not find any rust. This was a California car most of it's life. I was amazed how smooth everything worked when I drove it for the first time. I'm not sure at this point if it's original paint or not? I was told that it is an original Ruby red car that has had minor touchup paint, and also that this is a rare accident free and rust free vehicle. My body guy said the fit was great and he felt that it had never been hit. We installed the original steering wheel and seat belts. We had the original seats rebuilt and reupholstered and installed. This makes the Porsche look a lot better and it's all stock now. The only bad thing we could find in the body was the bottom of the battery box has been replaced, I'm sure from battery acid and not rust. This Porsche was originally equipped with a 1600 cc four-cylinder split case 85 hp engine with 8.5:1 compression pistons, dual Solex carbs, 6 volt electrical system and four-wheel disc brakes. The engine has been completely rebuilt by a master Porsche engine rebuilder. Now it has 1750 cc cylinder heads and 9.1:1 Pistons, modified cam with dual Weber carbs. The case #s do not match. Koni shock absorbers. Joe at Old School Garage did the service and safety check on this Porsche. Joe knows these cars very well and has done an excellent job making sure that everything is in very good order. If you have any questions I'm sure Joe would be happy to answer them for you. What a great find. I have been having a great time driving the 356. It would be very easy to keep this Porsche. It may not be nice enough for a purest but you might not find one as nice. In the photos note the California registration from 1978. I would tell you to come and inspect it for yourself.

~~SOLD~~1956 Porsche 356A Speedster For Sale, Fantastic, Just Restored Like New
1956 Porsche 356A Speedster
Speedsters are THE iconic Porsche 356. Introduced in 1954 as a somewhat stripped, low-priced competitor for the Austin-Healey 100, they became the instant favorite of racers because of their low weight, and of sporty warm-climate aficionados who did not mind the lack of weather protection. Just over 4,900 Speedsters were produced, most of which have been lost to history -- racing accidents and rust taking many of them from us. This US-delivery Speedster is an original survivor totally refurbished to street concours condition. It will afford its proud new owner opportunities to show at local and regional concourse as well as the pride of driving the iconic and very sporty Speedster. This Speedster has a totally rebuilt -- to full factory specs -- period correct 1600cc Normal engine, which powers the lightweight car very capably. Likewise the four-speed gearbox and the shifter were completely rebuilt and operate easily and crisply, exactly as they should. The suspension has been totally refurbished and the complete brake system is brand new. Mechanically, this 54-year old car performs as new. The body is completely restored. The very clean California tub was completely stripped and expertly repainted in Speedster white, code 3051. The all-original panels exhibit terrific fit with excellent gaps. The bumpers are original and, of course, all steel with correct anodized uprights. Body trim and glass are all new -- including the lights, grills, shine-up taillight unit, side and bumper decos, along with all seals and rubber stops. The car has its correct Aero side mirror. The wheels are correct-size painted 4.5" x 15" and sport correct baby moon caps and brand new Vredestein 165x15 tires. The car has a completely fresh Wurth undercoating. Inside you will find a totally correct-appearance 100% red leather interior that features original steel Speedster bucket seats trimmed in contrasting white as original. The interior and the new top are from Autos International and made of their finest materials. Autos also supplied the original German square weave oatmeal carpeting with correct tan cotton binding. The rubber floor mats are brand new and perfect. All instruments were restored by North Hollywood. This Speedster sports the attractive optional horn ring. We have the factory Certificate of Authenticity to accompany this Speedster. It shows a manufacture date of September 5, 1956. Please note that the CoA's mention of a "Ponto" mirror is incorrect: It could only have had the correct Aero mirror. Ponto-Stabil mirrors did not come in until the 356B years. This 356A is a collector quality Speedster that can be driven and enjoyed as Dr. Porsche intended. While you enjoy it, you can rest assured that your investment is secure. Speedster prices were recently stratospheric with prime examples such as this one well over $200,000. In this economic downturn, prices have returned to earth, and now is a great time to acquire Porsche's sportiest 356, the icon of the era, before prices start to climb again. We have priced this Speedster to reflect today's market at $168,000. We invite you to drop by and inspect it. Its ready for immediate delivery at our Southampton Location..
