in Louisville Ky...I have seen a few cool Mavericks at past shows...but I
was not able to shoot them...This was to cool not to....check it

Turbo Maverick Sleeper Outruns Drag Car
Josh Dillon's '73 Maverick Grabber doesn't look like it should run mid 6's
in the eighth mile, but it does! And outruns lots of full on drag cars.
Josh has driven this car on several road trips, and constantly beats on it.
The car looks rough, and even sounds sort of rough, but has a 75mm turbo that makes all the difference. On this
pass, the car made 12 pounds of Boost and runs a 6.62 at 105 miles per hour in
the eighth mile. The rough exterior and stock steel wheels make this
Maverick a killer sleeper!
The car has a 460ci big block Ford with stock block and stock crank. The
heads are stock castings that Josh ported at home. turbo is a Borg Warner S475, and Josh built every
piece of the turbo setup on a budget.
Transmission is a C6 automatic with stock hard parts and a Dacco torque
converter. Rear end is still the stock 8-inch!!!!

Just a quick little video of my father in law taking his daughters
boyfriend out for his first Maverick ride. Hoping to get some better

In the world of hot-rodding there are few cars that are going to leave as
big an impression as this - the 1927 Ford Model T custom simply known as
"Double-Trouble". It rides on a custom-built tube chassis that's fabricated
from 1.5-inch tube. Is powered by two 4.6-liter modular V8s from Ford with
four, count 'em, FOUR Superchargers for
an approximate power output of around 1,200 hp. It also utilizes the
rear-end (inboard disc brakes and all) from an early Jaguar. It's a rolling
a Hot Wheels car and a masterpiece of engineering that is sure to make all
your naughty bits tingle.
