Mustang GT-1 Trans Am Racing at Road America
Take a few laps in my 1998 Mustang GT-1 TA car at Road America during the 2011 Kohler International Challenge Group 10 race as I battle current Grand Am and World Challenge cars piloted by road racing legends Jack Baldwin and Brian Kubinski. Thanks to my great crew, RT Restorations, and George and Cheri Forge from Motor Masters that helped me land this old girl right in the middle of Winner's Circle! Be sure to watch in HD and don't miss the "on the grass pass" of the Cobra Challenge car into turn 12, or the race up the hill into turn 6 to grab 2nd place from the WC Corvette.

SCCA NJMP Thunderbolt race T1 Corvette
SCCA Race at NJMP Thunderbolt. C5 Corvette in T1 class following very fast SPO driver who seems to be leaking fuel out the back at times. Later in session, SPO car overshoots turn 1 and I get by. Not captured (no rear camera) is his spin entering the devil's tail a half lap later, and, a lap after that he has a major issue with fuel loss all over the track at turn 1, and he is disabled for the remainder of the race. Fun running with him up to that point.

Elkhart Lake Road America Race Way Vintage Cars
http://www.wellsve.com I spent a day recently with Peter Meier, Steve Hildebrand and Tim Froh at the Elkhart Lake race way. They were having time trials in preparation for the vintage car race held that weekend. We virtually had the track to ourselves. We were able to go into the pits and most anywhere we wanted. Peter is the technical editor for Motor Age Magazine. Steve is our director of marketing and Tim is our TPS and Knock sensor engineer. Some very cool cars here. I had a great time! Hope you enjoy it too.

Open Track day with the Nor-Cal Shelby Club at Thunderhill in WIllows California in my 67 Fastback Mustang.
This is my first track day at Thunderhill with Michelin racing slicks. In the past I've always used the Hoosier DOT slicks. I've noticed the Michelin tires are almost "all or nothing" where the Hoosier tire is much more forgiving of traffic situations where I need to back off for a turn or two to pass someone safely. I might try a softer compound tire next time, and / or make some changes in the alignment of the car.
