98 ZX2 Superchips - No start
This is my ZX2, All I have added was an Iceman intake and Borla Exhaust. I bought an ECU with a superchip and found out that my car would start~! However it does start without the chip in the ECU. Hmmm. bad chip? maybe. Sorry if its a lil shaky, I don't normally do video with a cell phone.

Turbo Escort ZX2 55-120 mph on low boost, bad turbo
55-120 mph run with my turbo Escort ZX2. I would have maxed the speedo out, but the tires are only rated to 112 mph. The road I did this on is very strait, well maintained, and deserted. I was the only car on the road at the time. The turbo is a T3 Super 60 (later found to have a cracked Exhaust housing) on 6 psi. Engine is stock with around 180,000 miles on it at the time the video was made.

Turbo Ford Escort ZX2 pulling 2002 Eclipse, seemingly with little effort. 3-ton total weight.
The video is a bit long as is posted for several people who don't really believe the Escort will tow vehicles or just really want to see it. The interstate travel was at 65 mph (cruise set) and even in 5th gear, the cruise would keep the set speed. The best part is watching the car take off from lights (start at 15:00) as I don't have to rev the hell out of it to get it to move and I even up-shift below 3000 rpm. The engine in this Escort has a Super 60 equivalent Garrett T3 turbo at 10 psi (estimate 190-200 whp) and the engine itself has 235,000 miles on it, all factory original parts. Only basic maintainence has been done to the engine. No internal parts have broken or been replaced and it still puts up 170+ psi compression numbers on a cold engine. This engine doesn't burn or use oil. The only oil leaks are from the turbo return line and feed line. I haven't babied the car, obviously I'm pulling cars with it. The engine is 15 years old and has been going to the drag strip since 2002 and sees 7000-7200 rpm up-shifts on a near daily basis. The tow dolly is a Master Tow with electric brakes. I have a cabin mounted brake controller, upgraded (from 13mm to 19mm) rear anti-sway bar, and rear-disc brakes conversion. The car in tow is a broke-ass 2002 Eclipse (I know, big surprise) with a blown head gasket at 120,000 miles. Go Pro mounted to the hood, engine parts in the back. I should note that with the tools in the trunk of the ZX2, the dolly, the passengers, and the car, it is about 6000 pounds total weight.
