1927 Ford: Double-Trouble -- /BIG MUSCLE
• Gordon Tronson
In the world of hot-rodding there are few cars that are going to leave as
big an impression as this - the 1927 Ford Model T custom simply known as
"Double-Trouble". It rides on a custom-built tube chassis that's fabricated
from 1.5-inch tube. Is powered by two 4.6-liter modular V8s from Ford with
four, count 'em, FOUR Superchargers for
an approximate power output of around 1,200 hp. It also utilizes the
rear-end (inboard disc brakes and all) from an early Jaguar. It's a rolling
a Hot Wheels car and a masterpiece of engineering that is sure to make all
your naughty bits tingle.

Watch the 2015 Ford F-450 6.7L Diesel Super Duty Debut at the State Fair of Texas
( http://www.TFLtruck.com ) Ford introduced its 2015 F-Series Super Duty
lineup at the Texas State Fair and the big news is a better Power Stroke V8
turbo diesel engine. They've also beefed
up the F-450 to make it even tougher. The new Power Stroke features a
larger GT37 turbocharger that measures
72.5 millimeters in diameter versus the smaller GT32 it replaces which came
in at 64 millimeters. This means Exhaust gases have a larger surface area to spin
the turbo so you'll get extra power.

Turbo Ford Escort ZX2 pulling 2002 Eclipse, seemingly with little effort. 3-ton total weight.
The video is a bit long as is posted for several people who don't really
believe the Escort will tow vehicles or just really want to see it. The
interstate travel was at 65 mph (cruise set) and even in 5th gear, the
cruise would keep the set speed. The best part is watching the car take
off from lights (start at 15:00) as I don't have to rev the hell out of it
to get it to move and I even up-shift below 3000 rpm. The engine in this
Escort has a Super 60 equivalent Garrett T3 turbo at 10 psi (estimate 190-200 whp) and the
engine itself has 235,000 miles on it, all factory original parts. Only
basic maintainence has been done to the engine. No internal parts have
broken or been replaced and it still puts up 170+ psi compression numbers
on a cold engine. This engine doesn't burn or use oil. The only oil leaks
are from the turbo return line and feed
line. I haven't babied the car, obviously I'm pulling cars with it. The
engine is 15 years old and has been going to the drag strip since 2002 and
sees 7000-7200 rpm up-shifts on a near daily basis.
The tow dolly is a Master Tow with electric brakes. I have a cabin mounted
brake controller, upgraded (from 13mm to 19mm) rear anti-sway bar, and
rear-disc brakes conversion.
The car in tow is a broke-ass 2002 Eclipse (I know, big surprise) with a
blown head gasket at 120,000 miles. Go Pro mounted to the hood, engine
parts in the back.
I should note that with the tools in the trunk of the ZX2, the dolly, the
passengers, and the car, it is about 6000 pounds total weight.
Desert Proofing the Ford Raptor! - Dirt Every Day Episode 2
On this episode of Dirt Every Day, Fred Williams up fits and outfits one of
the coolest 4x4's on the market today, the Ford Raptor. Raptors are high
performance desert machines, but we found one that earns it's owner a
living each week banging around on an obscure desert compound. The owner
is hard on his equipment and we took this poor bird of prey under our wing
for a week to transform it into a more vicious desert predator.
Dirt Every Day appears every other Thursday on the Motor Trend channel.

Ford Escort Mk1 RS2000 Pure Sound - Hill Climb and Circuit Racing !!
produzia 120 cv. Em 1973 surgiu a versão RS 2000 com 100 cv, motor pinto
The Mark I Ford Escort was introduced in the United Kingdom at the end of
1967, making its show debut at Brussels Motor Show in January 1968. It
replaced the successful long running Anglia. The car was presented in
continental Europe as a product of Ford's European operation. Escort
production commenced at Halewood in England during the closing months of
1967, and for left hand drive markets during September 1968 at the Ford
plant in Genk. Initially the continental Escorts differed slightly from
the UK built ones under the skin. The front suspension and steering gear
were differently configured and the brakes were fitted with dual hydraulic
circuits; also the wheels fitted on the Genk-built Escorts had wider
rims. At the beginning of 1970, continental European production
transferred to a new plant on the edge of Saarlouis, West Germany.
The 2.0 L RS2000 version, with its distinctively slanted polyurethane nose,
and featuring the Pinto engine from the Cortina, was announced in the UK in
March 1975 and introduced in Germany in August 1975, being reportedly
produced in both countries. It provided a claimed 110 bhp and a top speed
of 110 mph (177 km/h). For acceleration to 100 km/h (62.5 mph) a time of
just 8.9 seconds was claimed by the manufacturers.
