Crash test dummies representing an average-sized adult
male and a small-sized adult female are placed in the driver
and rear passenger seats (driver's side), respectively, and are
secured with seat belts. The side crash rating represents an
intersection-type collision by having a 3,015-pound barrier
moving at 38.5 mph (62km/h) into a standing vehicle. The moving
barrier is covered with material that is crushable to replicate
the front of a vehicle.

What i ahve to say about the 2013 M37: The M got resdesinged in 2011 and
while it's still a decent car it may not be the best. It offers a variety
of powertrains ranging from a V6, a Hybrid, and a V8. Infiniti has been
slipping a little on their material quality, but this car seems to be in
very good shape. The M is a very comfortable car as well and the dash is a
nice conservative styling point. The exterior is also stylish with nice HID
Headlamps and LED Tailamps with a nice bulbous front end. The M is still a
great car, but the Lexus GS offers more luxury features and has been
redesigned for 2013 and it has better fuel economy, it also offers a Hybrid

2012 Infiniti G25/G37 IIHS Narrow/Small Overlap Frontal Offset (Acceptable Rating)
The Infiniti G35 was redesigned for the 2007 model year and renamed the G37
in the 2009 model year because the engine size was increased. Beginning
with 2011 models, a smaller engine was added, and this version was named
the G25. Collectively, all 2007 and later models are referred to as the
Structure — The driver space was not maintained well. The parking brake
pedal was pushed in toward the driver 24 cm, while the instrument panel
intruded as much as 14 cm.
Restraints/dummy kinematics — The dummy's movement was well controlled.
The dummy's head loaded the frontal airbag, which stayed in front of the
dummy until rebound. The side curtain airbag deployed but does not have
sufficient forward coverage to protect the head from contact with forward
side structure and outside objects. The side torso airbag also deployed,
protecting the chest from potential contact with side structure.
Injury measures — Measures taken from the dummy indicate a low risk of
any significant injuries in a crash of this severity.
