Overly-long TV commercial for the EJ, which focuses more on Holden's
contribution to local industry, etc...
A prime example of just how boring early 60's TV commercials could be!
VL Walkinshaw club leaving with style...
My girlfriend and I were driving down Powers Road in Seven Hills on the
weekend and we came across a heap of Walkinshaw Commodores. As the cars
were leaving the car park some pleasantly surprised us with a few burnouts.

VB Holden Commodore SL/e. Color is Firethorn Red. Filmed in and around
Spring Street,Yarra's edge (opposite the old Gas and Fuel Towers),
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Interestingly filmed entirley in heavy rain
- now given production shoot can be over days - this must be 'fake' rain -
intereting creative idea.
VL Holden Commodore V8 - Americas Cup 1987 TV Ad.
1983 we won the American Cup. 1987 was the time to defend it....1987 Holden
released the ULP compatible version of the 5.0 litre (308). Promoting the
torque. Compared to the Ford XF range..and Nissan and Mitsubishi. History
recalls this motor was sub-par (compared to VL turbo) and the later released EFI / Walkinshaw

After the Holden ad aired, Ford claimed that the other vehicles had been
deliberately driven in a manner which made them look bad. So, they did
their own ad - using Ford racing drivers as the witches-hats...
