2012 Lexus LS 460L Test Drive & Luxury Car Video Review

http://www.autobytel.com/lexus/ls-460/2012/?id=32972 The original Lexus LS 400 debuted back in 1989 and helped to redefine what a luxury car is as well as where a luxury car maker can come from. Asian automakers are known for customer service, dependability, and refinement; and the 2012 Lexus LS 460L is just as exemplary of what a luxury should be as the original. The base model short wheelbase LS 460 starts at $67,630 with the top of the line AWD Long Wheelbase version bringing the price all the way up to $75,480. The 2012 Lexus LS 460L is powered by a 4.6 liter V-8 engine that makes 380 horsepower and 367 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a slick shifting 8-speed automatic. The powerful engine and transmission help the LS 460L achieve 0-60 MPH in 5.4 seconds. Pretty great for a heavy full-size luxury sedan. Fuel economy is pretty good at 16 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. The LS 460 host a whole bunch of great features and technology. From a driving and performance perspective the 2012 Lexus LS 460L features dual variable valve timing, an 8-speed transmission as mentioned above, variable gear ratio steering, electronic power steering, and direct injection. You can choose between RWD or AWD with enhanced traction control. The Lexus LS 460L has a sophisticated adaptive variable air suspension. This suspension relies on air springs that are controlled from inside the cabin. The driver can choose between three different suspension setting between sporty and luxurious. On the outside the Lexus LS 460L looks the part of a full fledge luxury car. The paint hob features a wet-sanded finish that increases luster and depth. The headlights are HID with an Adaptive Front Lighting Feature. The taillights feature LEDs which are more noticeable than regular bulbs. The sport edition comes with huge 19-inch alloy rims along with a cool sporty grille. The technology found on the Lexus LS 460L is the best stuff that Toyota has to offer. You get dynamic radar cruise control, an advanced parking guidance system, intuitive park assist, SmartAccess, a backup camera, power trunk, touch screen navigation, and more. The great thing about the 2012 Lexus LS 460 is that it has a great resale value and the vehicle is very dependable. 2015 Lexus LS460L Review
Like us on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/vehiclevirgins Special Thanks to Lexus of Ann Arbor Michigan http://www.lexusofannarbor.com 2015 Lexus LS460L 4.6L V8 360hp/347 lb-ft (AWD) 386hp/357lb-ft (RWD) MPG: 16/24 (RWD) 16/23 (AWD) 0-60: 5.4 (RWD) 6.0 (AWD) 8 speed automatic The LS460 beautifully fills the gap between the cheaper Hyundai Equus and more expensive BMW 7 series, Audi A8 and Mercedes S class. With gorgeous styling, impressive material quality, fantastic reliability and enough space for a first string basketball team, the LS460L is poised for success. Under the hood lies a 4.6L V8 which produces 360hp and 347 lb ft of torque. Interestingly the RWD model produces nearly 30 more hp than the awd version we are testing. This power differential is due to the changes to the Exhaust system. 0-60mph happens in 6 seconds, a decent time for a 4700lb sedan. The LS cabin is incredibly isolated from the outside world. Road noise is practically non existent, a small hint at why this is such an exceptional luxury vehicle. Draped in semi aniline leather, alcantara and stunning bamboo trim the interior of the 460L is first class. For those seeking the next level of luxury, the optional executive class seating package is available. This offers 4 zone climate control, massaging seats, an ottoman style legrest and more. Most incredible however is the vehicles optional infrared sensors. These measure the surface temperature of rear seat occupants and automatically adjust the climate surrounding each passenger to the perfect level. The front seats are very comfortable in the LS. When entering the vehicle you instantly notice the behemoth 12.3 in LCD screen. Thankfully it is operated by a touchpad as opposed to the annoying joystick used in some lexus vehicles. The graphics in the entertainment system are top notch and overall the system is easy to use. This is of course the long wheel base variant, so rear space has been prioritized. As you can see there is endless head and legroom. Passengers in all seats would be comfortable on even the longest of road trips. And due to Lexuses phenomenal reliability, a cross country road trip wouldn't even be out of the question. The driving characteristics of the LS do not promote aggressive behavior, this car is a luxury cruiser, not a nimble sports sedan. The chief priority is a serene, limousine like passenger experience, providing the highest degree of comfort and isolation. And Lexus has accomplished this quite well. The steering is light and the LS460 is effortless to drive. No matter which seat you reside in the Lexus, you will be relaxed. This model is fitted with the optional Mark Levinson system which sounds fantastic. The bass is and the treble is. Safety technology is plentiful in the LS, this car features a Pre-Collision system that is able to detect potential frontal collisions and will retract seatbelts while preparing to increase braking pressure when you engage the brakes. Radar Cruise control is able to sense the speed of the vehicle ahead of you to maintain a constant following distance and even stop and reaccelerate the car when traveling at speeds below 24 mph. If you are looking for a competitively priced Luxury Sedan thats very comfortable, full of technology and exceptionally reliable the LS460 is definitely a car to consider. It is not as powerful as the new Mercedes S Class, but with a base price of $95,000, the german limousine is in a different segment all together. Special thanks to Lexus of Ann Arbor. 2012 Lexus LS460L AWD review - In 3 minutes you'll be an expert on the 2012 LS460L This month we're plugging a funny video about the Infiniti IPL and the fact that our salesman was completely misinformed about why it is called the IPL, discovering only in the end that he has completely embarrassed himself. Take a peek if you have an extra couple of minutes. http://youtu.be/PJE1Id3n61o Hi, this is Joe Tunney bringing to you a comprehensive catalogue of hundreds of great vehicles from throughout the automobile industry. Although we specialize in Acura, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, sports cars, SUV's and of course our beloved Infiniti product line, we also like to carry and review exotic cars from time to time like Ferrari, Dodge Viper, turbocharged all-wheel-drive cars like Mitsubishi Evo and Subaru WRX, as well as affordable vehicles that fit into every budget. For 2014 we are going to make a point of reviewing everything we carry, demonstrating for you the interior and exterior features and condition, the wheels and tires, trunk space, as well as an overview of power, technology, economy and driving characteristics to give you factual information as well as information unique to this particular vehicle so that you can enjoy a more intelligent shopping experience without ever having to step onto the lot. A little about me. I have been the manager at Infiniti of Kirkland since 2004 and prior to that I ran a high end car boutique in neighboring Bellevue, Washington. For my career I have sold over 10,000 cars so I hope to bring you far more insight than you might ever know to even ask. I show you in some videos how to see if a car has been in an accident, how to make a great buy on a car with a bad Carfax, or why I wouldn't personally buy a car even if it has favorable reviews. Every once in a while I'll even have a little fun to keep the videos fresh but I want to make certain you know that you can always email me at joet@infinitiofkirkland.com if you ever have any questions or feel I have made a mistake or used poor judgment or poor taste. I am truly thankful for the hundreds of thousands of views and more importantly, perhaps much more importantly, I am honored to have been viewed in over 200 countries around the world. We all are ambassadors for the things we believe in regardless of where we were born and from my little corner of the world here outside of Seattle, Washington I want to express my sincere gratitude for you having invited me into your home, your place of work, or for simply taking a minute of your valuable time to listen to what I have to say. Maybe we will never meet face to face, but I am forever in your debt for giving me the opportunity to share with you the things I have learned. 2012 Lexus LS460 review. 2012 Lexus LS460L review. 2012 Lexus LS460 AWD review.
