2012 Lexus LS 460L Test Drive & Luxury Car Video Review

http://www.autobytel.com/lexus/ls-460/2012/?id=32972 The original Lexus LS 400 debuted back in 1989 and helped to redefine what a luxury car is as well as where a luxury car maker can come from. Asian automakers are known for customer service, dependability, and refinement; and the 2012 Lexus LS 460L is just as exemplary of what a luxury should be as the original. The base model short wheelbase LS 460 starts at $67,630 with the top of the line AWD Long Wheelbase version bringing the price all the way up to $75,480. The 2012 Lexus LS 460L is powered by a 4.6 liter V-8 engine that makes 380 horsepower and 367 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a slick shifting 8-speed automatic. The powerful engine and transmission help the LS 460L achieve 0-60 MPH in 5.4 seconds. Pretty great for a heavy full-size luxury sedan. Fuel economy is pretty good at 16 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. The LS 460 host a whole bunch of great features and technology. From a driving and performance perspective the 2012 Lexus LS 460L features dual variable valve timing, an 8-speed transmission as mentioned above, variable gear ratio steering, electronic power steering, and direct injection. You can choose between RWD or AWD with enhanced traction control. The Lexus LS 460L has a sophisticated adaptive variable air suspension. This suspension relies on air springs that are controlled from inside the cabin. The driver can choose between three different suspension setting between sporty and luxurious. On the outside the Lexus LS 460L looks the part of a full fledge luxury car. The paint hob features a wet-sanded finish that increases luster and depth. The headlights are HID with an Adaptive Front Lighting Feature. The taillights feature LEDs which are more noticeable than regular bulbs. The sport edition comes with huge 19-inch alloy rims along with a cool sporty grille. The technology found on the Lexus LS 460L is the best stuff that Toyota has to offer. You get dynamic radar cruise control, an advanced parking guidance system, intuitive park assist, SmartAccess, a backup camera, power trunk, touch screen navigation, and more. The great thing about the 2012 Lexus LS 460 is that it has a great resale value and the vehicle is very dependable. 2012 Hyundai Equus Test Drive & Luxury Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/hyundai/equus/2012/?id=32972 Everything you would expect in a luxury sedan can be found in the 2012 Hyundai Equus. In fact the Equus is a very nice alternative to Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes at a more affordable price. The Equus is a RWD long wheel base luxury sedan with a base price of $59,000. This is $15k-$30k less than is competition! When the Equus was first launched in this country it came with a very respectable 4.6 liter engine. But the engine certainly did not have the guts to match up to some of the competitors in the luxury car segment. For the 2012 model year the Equus gets an updated GDI 5.0 liter V-8 engine produces huge numbers at 429 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic. Fuel economy figures are 15 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway. Hyundai has gone to great lengths to shed the image that their cars lack character. Well the new fluidic design element is evident on the 2012 Hyundai Equus. Up front the Equus shares the same style front grill as the Genesis sedan. HID Xenon headlights equipped with LED turn signals really accent the exterior of this luxury sedan. The 19-inch chrome wheels are also a great touch and they perfectly accentuate the other chrome accents parts on the exterior. The Equus can easily be mistaken for a Lexus or other high-end luxury cars. If you got behind the wheel of a 2012 Hyundai Equus, you might think you are in a Lexus LS 460. The gauges are very similar to that of other high-end luxury cars and the seat adjustments are located on the door just like they are in a Mercedes S550. There is an 8-inch navigation unit that also displays driver information located in the center dash. The whole interior is wrapped in high quality leather. There are lovely wood accents throughout. The audio is handled by a 608-watt Lexicon sound system. The driver's seats are 12-way adjustable and feature both heating and cooling. In the back there are two premium first-class seats that can recline and feature leg support. The center console in the rear is a mini fridge. The 2012 Hyundai Equus combines all the best features found on other luxury cars in one great package. 2012 Audi A8-L Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/audi/a8/?id=32972 The 2012 Audi A8 is a perfect example of what a full sized luxury sedan should be. On the outside the Audi A8 is beautiful from the grill all the way to the taillights, under the hood lies a powerful V-8 engine, and inside the driver and passengers are treated to an ultra luxurious experience. But owning a high end luxury car does not come cheap. The base model (normal wheelbase) has an MSRP of $78,750, while the Long Wheelbase version tested here starts at $84,700. But the ultimate 2012 Audi A8 is the Long Wheelbase edition with the W12 engine which starts at $133,500. The 2012 Audi A8-L is powered by a 4.2 liter V-8 engine that produces 372 horsepower and 328 lb-ft. of torque. While not the most powerful car in the full sized luxury segment; the engine in combination with an 8-speed automatic transmission does a great job of putting the power down to the ground through standard Quattro all-wheel drive. The 2012 Audi A8-L can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 5.8 seconds. Fuel economy is excellent with the A8 netting 18 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway. The engine is exposed which is great and there are wonderfully contrasting colors in the engine bay that really grab your attention. On the outside the 2012 Audi A8 is a very stylish car which is sure to get you noticed. The massive chrome grill looks great and really stands out. The Xenon headlights combined with the world famous LED running lights are signature Audi. The A8 also has a set of huge 19-inch alloy wheels at all four corners. On the inside the Audi A8 is plenty spacious with enough room for 4 adults and all their belongings. The A8-L is the long wheelbase version and this platform stretches the amount of interior room a couple more inches. The interior of the car makes you feel like you are in a luxurious living room. Everything is beautiful and Audi did a great job of finding the perfect balance between woods and metals that make up the trim pieces. All the buttons and controls are top notch since Audi understands what a luxury buyer demands. The A8-L is a real driver's car; it is response and fun to drive. The 2012 Audi A8 is a true joy to drive. It you are going to spend $80k on a high end luxury car then you owe it to yourself to take a long test drive. When shopping for a full sized luxury automobile make a checklist and compare the various cars in the segment. Audi has really captured the essence of what a luxury car should be with the 2012 Audi A8-L. 2012 Chevrolet Volt Test Drive & Plug-In Electric Hybrid Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/chevrolet/volt/2012/ The 2012 Chevrolet Volt may be the most technologically advanced and cutting edge vehicle on the market today. Chevy calls the extended range electric Volt the car of the future. The majority of the time the Volt is powered by pure electricity that come from the batteries; but when you exceed the range of the battery pack, its gasoline burning internal combustion engine acts like a generator, kicking in to create electricity. So in a sense the 2012 Chevy Volt is a plugin electric vehicle that also works like a hybrid that can generate its own electricity. The 2012 Chevrolet Volt has a base price of $39,145. The Volt gets its electricity from a 16kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It costs less than $2 to charge a 2012 Chevrolet Volt. The car can run on electricity from the battery for about 35 miles. This makes the Volt a perfect car for those who have a short daily commute. With the gasoline generator creating power, the Volt can go for 375 miles without having to refuel. There are also systems built into the interactive LCD screens in the das that help you drive more efficiently. On the safety side the Volt made it to the IIHS List of Top Safety Picks for 2012. The structure of the Chevrolet Volt is made from reinforced high-strength steel. There are also eight airbags to protect the drive and passengers. The Volt benefits from StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control as well as traction control. These systems help to keep the Volt on the road and the driver in control no matte the road conditions. On the outside the Volt looks pretty futuristic. But the shape of the car was specifically designed to cut through the air with the least amount of wind resistance as possible. With a drag coefficient of 0.281; the 2012 Chevrolet Volt has one of the lowest figures among production cars. The lower the better the more sleek the vehicle is. And the Volt still looks like a sporty car unlike other hybrids that all have the familiar wedge shape. The Volt comes with stylish 17-inch chrome rims wrapped in low-rolling resistance tires that aid in the fuel economy department. 2013 and 2014 Lexus LS 460 F-Sport Review with Infotainment Overview and Road Test
While BMW has been morphing the 7-Series into a luxuriously silent highway cruiser, Lexus has been busy injecting some sport into their isolated lineup. In 2006 we got the 417HP IS-F, in 2011 came the insane LF-A super car, and in 2012 we were introduced to Lexus' styling and suspension tweak brand F-Sport with the GS350 F-Sport. It was therefore only a matter of time until the spindle grille and the looks-fast package appeared on Lexus's flagship LS sedan.

Lexus LS Saloon 2013 review - CarBuyer
Lexus LS600 HL 2014 review: http://bit.ly/wd7Hb6 Subscribe to the Carbuyer YouTube channel: http://bit.ly/17k4fct Subscribe to Auto Express: http://subscribe.autoexpress.co.uk/cb Conceived as the pinnacle of Lexus's car-building know-how, the huge LS is Lexus' flagship model. Updated in 2013, both the entry-level petrol and a top-spec petrol-electric hybrid are packed with hi-tech equipment, offer a huge amount of passenger space and unrivalled comfort. Pitched as a limousine for environmentally aware company chiefs, the LS 600h hybrid can run on electric power alone at town speeds, yet rocket from 0-60mph in just 6.1 seconds when you put your foot down. The updated looks are more adventurous than before but they won't appeal to all, while build quality is sublime and the well-built interior can rival anything from Mercedes or Jaguar. Lexus has an unrivalled record for reliability, too, making the LS a luxury limo you can rely on.
