Fast Corvairs Drag Racing 1/8 Mile
From the 2013 Corvair Olympics . My car is a 3.1 liter with Weber carbs .
The red car has an ex NASCAR small block in the back seat . The black car
is Billy Bruce's drag car that runs high 11s or low 12s in the Qtr. I
broke a U-joint on the first run but my LeVair upper link kit kept it
together for several runs . I was running low/mid 9s at about 75.
James Reeve Returns 2011 Road Atlanta
The return to racing of Yenko Stinger racing legend James J. Reeve Jr.
Back in the mid 70's James was a thorn in the side of the British and
Datsun factory teams. James in his 1966 Yenko Stinger Corvair running as a
privateer was able to beat the likes Group 44, Huffaker and Datsun factory
backed teams in SCCA D-Production road racing at the national championship
level. I offered my Yenko Stinger Corvair for James to drive in the 2011
Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) annual Mitty race at Road Atlanta the
weekend of April 29-May 1. James certainly didn't disappoint us Corvair
types this weekend. We were only beaten by a very well driven, and fast,
Lotus Super 7 driven by Bill Bartlett also from Atlanta. Thanks again

This promotional film from Chevrolet highlights the power and performance
of the all-new 1962 Corvair Monza Spyder. Available as both a coupe or a
convertible, the Monza Spyder was the first production car offered by
Chevrolet with a turbocharged engine.

Hi, CORVAIRWILD here. A little about me and what I do: First, I love my
wife of many years, she is a wonderful lady. I call her Mrs CW. I can never
go anywhere without her & my Dog Muggs! He's cool. You should have a dog
like him too. Next, I am a landlord, NO, not a slumlord who does section 8
apartment rentals, but I keep my properties up like they were my own...they
are my own! Like I live there. I have lots of apartment buildings, a farm
out in the country and a house here and there. I am always doing something,
driving rehabbing, you name it! I want to include you, so I bring my
camera! EVERYWHERE! Haha.
Did I mention I am a car enthusiast! I can't get enough Covairs and Vintage
Chevy and GMC trucks. They have great reliability...all of em' the best
vehicle on the road ever is a Corvair Spider turbo. Back to the trucks, I love the diesel
trucks and suburbans, Blazers too. That's what I plow snow with. A fisher
snow plow. I'm a busy guy, but I make time for you. Thanks! CW
Vairs at VIR; June 22, 2013
Corvairs running an 'autocross' course at VIR on June 22, 2013. This was
part of the 'Corvair Olympics' event.... They say it was pretty nice but I
missed the first few days of running on the racetrack and the ever-popular
fifty-meter fan belt toss.
