Do Electric Superchargers Work?
Click here to visit blog http://www.electricSupercharger.blogspot.com Do Electric Superchargers Work? That is a good question and the answer to that question is yes. A real electric Supercharger or electric turbocharger can work. However many people are confused about how these electric Superchargers can add performance to your naturally aspirated engine. No to be confused with those cheap sheet metal inline fans placed inside a rubber coupler but a real turbocharger compressor being powered by a brushless motor. Click on the link above to visit the B2B Blog and see the Dyno results for these inline fans for yourself. Because there are only scams being sold as electric Supercharger the only way to get a real performing blower is to buid it yourself.

We did not test all makes and brands of electric Superchargers so results may vary based on engine displacement and Volumetric Efficiency (VE)

Leaf-Blower Supercharging a 1978 Chevrolet Monza Spyder! - Roadkill Episode 16
On this episode of Roadkill, it's fun with Leaf Blowers. Experts on the Internet said it would never work. That's never stopped Freiburger and Finnegan, and this time on Roadkill the guys put the theory to the test: can hardware-store leaf blowers supercharge an engine and make power? Step one was buying a '78 Monza Spyder with a 305 V8 and a four-speed stick. Step two was to take it to the shop of HOT ROD Drag Week racer Jeff Lutz to tune it up, swap the engine to a 350, Dyno test it with five leaf blowers, and do a whole bunch of needless burnouts. Step three was to drive the Monza to Willmington, Ohio, for the East Coast Timing Association's Ohio Mile event, a standing-mile race where they'd find out if leaf-blower power adds up to more speed in the real world. The outcome? Who really cares? Because on Roadkill, it's always about the adventure. And more burnouts. Dirt Cheap Rat Rod! 1968 Charger Buildup and Thrash - Roadkill Ep. 23
Freiburger and Finnegan think this is the best episode so far! It's the longest, too. This show has it all: a Mad-Max-vibe 1968 Dodge Charger built with motorhome parts, sideways Dukes-style action, lots of low-buck wrenching, hilarious snafus, and cameo appearances by the Macho Grande from episode 8, the '66 Buick Special convertible from a pre-Roadkill episode, the ramp truck from episode 20, and the Fury from episode 22. Turbo Diesel Mini Bike
Start at 2:13 to skip the intro, or click here for a helmet-cam ride: http://youtu.be/U5XyrXEZKu8 This is an idea I've had since I was a kid, and after watching Mike Cberts Diesel mini bike video I was inspired to put together my own! The frame has been around since I was 4 years old! At that point it was powered by a 3 hp Briggs and Stratton and is a Fox corporation, Trail Bug probably from the 60's or early 70's. The engine is a copy of a 10 hp Yanmar single cylinder Diesel engine and the turbo is similar to the one on my Honda CX-500 turbo motorcycle. The engine runs at 3,600 rpm max and top speed so far is 39.3 mph. Here's a description of 2 stroke & 4 stroke Diesel engines: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=k3gMTqaNwlE&NR=1

Forced Induction - Supercharger vs. Turbo Charger
This video was made to describe in moderate detail the differences between Superchargers and turbo Chargers, as well as describing the components, advantages, and disadvantages to each. Complementing the speaking track is a slideshow of related pictures and videos. I hope this video helps some of you curious up and coming mechanics to better understand methods of forced induction. Please comment maturely, and enjoy!
