Quick Tip-Throttle Cleaning - EricTheCarGuy
This one goes out to BowlingBallOut who posted a question about a sticky throttle on his Saturn. It was a great question so I decided to make this video in response to it. There are many different configurations of throttle assemblies but for the most part if you have a throttle that is sticking you might be able to fix it using the procedures in this video. I am aware you may not able to purchase spray throttle cleaner in some states now but I'm sure they have some alternative available at your local parts store. Finding Engine Vacuum Leaks With A Cigar
Scotty Kilmer, mechanic for the last 43 years, shows how you can find engine vacuum leaks in your vehicle using cigar smoke. It really works as well as a thousand dollar smoke machine.

How to clean a throttle body and Idle air control valve (iac)
*** PLEASE READ *** In this video demonstration, I show how to get to, remove, clean, and replace the throttle body and idle air control motor (aka IAC) on a 4.2l ford motor. This procedure is the same for any fuel injected vehicle. * * * Check out my website krkvideos.com * * * The vans require removal of alot more stuff just to access the throttle body. A dirty IAC can cause a rough idle. A dirty throttle body can harm performance and cause rough engine operation. When the throttle body or iac is removed a new gasket must be used to properly seal the connection to the intake. GM idle air motors are generally mounted on the throttle body and can be cleaned without removal from the throttle body. This means one less gasket and a lesser chance of creating a vacuum leak. The ford throttle body had a note on it that said it was not to be cleaned because the coating on the throttle blade might be damaged. Thats fine for a new car but that has to be disregarded when working on something that has some miles on it. Subscribe to my channel. * * * Definitions: * * * MAF - Mass Air Flow sensor - Monitors the amount of air the engine is intaking. IAT - Intake Air Temperature - Measures the temperature of the air the engine is intaking. IAC - Idle air control - Controls the amount of air the engine is intaking while it is idling. Throttle body - Responsible for regulating flow of air into the engine as you press the gas pedal. TPS - Throttle position sensor - Tells the computer how far you are opening the blade in the throttle body so it can add more fuel to compensate the added air. * * * Visit krkvideos.com for more! * * * * * * Visit krkvideos.com for more! * * * * * * Visit krkvideos.com for more! * * *

How to fix the Honda idle problem.mp4
If your Honda has a fluctuating idle pattern between 1,000 and 2,000 rpm at start up and then smooths out once it is warm then the problem will be the Fast Idle OCntrol Valve (FICV). It is a simple problem to fix and this video shows its location etc.

Changing Idle Air Control and Throttle Position Sensor
Changing my IAC and TPS, hopefully she will run much better. The IAC (Idle Air Control) motor/valve, allows air into the manifold while the truck is idling, if it's stuck shut, then the truck will die at idle, which is what it was doing. I also threw on a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) because I was there and the one on it was original. Sometimes it's good to replace parts when they have a ton of miles on them just to eliminate issues later.

Using Idle Air Control (IAC) position to ID a vacuum leak
This is the first of two case studies that will re-enforce my "Vacuum leak testing without a smoke machine" video/lecture.

Jeep IAC idle problem
This video shows the idle problem that came along this week. It started with some revving on its own one day, in park when I put it from drive to park. Then it began to get a rough idle. Not maintaining rpm when releasing the throttle, and so on. The rpm would also be unsteady in park/neutral. When putting it in drive/neutral the engine would stumble and drop to 0 rpm just to wake up half a second later and maintaining normal idle. What I did was take out the IAC valve and soak it with 5-56 (a solution in Sweden similar to WD-40) Then pushing in the pin and pulling it out several times. Drying it off, scraping off all the black deposits and putting it back in. Then the Jeep noticed a difference and I noticed a different throttle response. After driving about 2 miles in 45mph, letting it sit over night. Starting it and driving it in the following day was a dream. A completely different smoother running engine and a very much more responsive throttle. And of course, it keeps a steady idle now.

Idle air control issue?
This only happens on a cold motor it runs rough when given throttle but if you let it idle for 30 seconds or a minute it will never show up what happens in tis video.. in a nutshell on a cold motor after starting and trying to move forward or backwards the engine kind of stumbles to make it's away above 2K rpms.. after it reaches that it's fine and no other issues until it cools or sits overnight and you want to leave again. the car stalls because the engine was not coming up to speed relative to how far I was pressing down on the throttle and letting the clutch out.

Cleaning my Toyota Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve
*This video is for entertainment and video editing purposes ONLY. NOT a HOW-TO video but might help some! Saved money and went DIY! Car stalls in the morning when I turn on the engine on a cold start. The IAC is not operating and is stuck! 2 options: Take it to the shop and pay $200-$300 to clean it. Or DO IT YOURSELF! All you really have to do is spray seafoam down the hole inside the throttle body @ 1:59 (unfortunately the foam is covering the hole that's why you can't see it) and repeat. WEAR GLOVES!!! ;) or end up with a cut like me. Music: - Red Hot Chili Peppers - Readymade **I DO NOT OWN OR CLAIM ANY RIGHTS FOR THE AUDIO CONTENTS IN THIS VIDEO**
