1974 Chevrolet Z-28 Camaro A factory 350/370hp LT1 engine from Chevrolet replaced the L82 350/245hp engine in this particular Z-28 in May, 1974. Factory options: special performance equipment (Z-28 option), 400 turbo-hydramatic automatic transmission, 3:42 positraction rear end, power brakes, power steering, AC, heavy duty sport suspension, AM/FM stereo radio w/8-track, soft-ray tinted glass, Type LT package (this replaced the Rally Sport package in 1974), console, visor vanity mirror, black weave vinyl bucket seats, black vinyl trim, front and rear spoilers, auxiliary lighting, body side moldings, door edge guards, style trim group. Black stripes and an incorrect Z-28 grill emblem were added at some point, and these are relatively easy fixes should I decide to change them. This is the last real performance Z-28, the last Camaro with an oval rear window, and the last Z-28 model until mid-1977 when Chevrolet re-introduced it as an optional graphics package with a 350 V8 engine rated at 185hp, de-tuned to 8.5:1 compression.
