3200hp MONSTER Turbo Camaro!?!?
Did he just say 3,200 horsepower?! With a 622 cubic inch motor powered by TWO 98mm turbos, we'd believe it! Talk about managing power on an UN-PREPPED track!!! With a combination of driving skills, and proper tuning, this 3rd Gen Camaro has a MONSTROUS power plant under the hood and the car & driver are about as consistent as it gets for pushing up to 3,200hp, but we’re guessing it was turned down quite a bit for this no prep race. Even the championship race looked like a first round elimination!! We loved filming this car and hearing the deafening 98mm turbos spool seconds before the front wheels took flght! Congrats to the driver and crew and best wishes to them at future grudge races! ------------------------------------ 1320Video Gear ► http://www.1320video.com/shop/ Facebook ► http://facebook.com/1320videos Instagram ► https://instagram.com/1320video/ Twitter ► https://twitter.com/1320video Submit your video to us ►http://goo.gl/forms/TbQPwl9qFq
1977 Chevrolet Camaro STK 1416
Camaro had a lot of firsts in 1977, but only 2 of them will be mostly remembered. This was the first year that the Camaro outsold the Mustang, and they did by over 37 thousand units. The second was the return of the world famous Z28. Of the almost 200,000 Camaros made, only 14,349 were a Z28. The small amount was due to the fact that you could only purchase the Z28 the second half of 77. The Z28 was no longer a RPO but a separate model. The Z came with a 350 CI motor that produced 185 HP matching the base Corvette HP for that year. The red Z28 pictured above is a 2 owner car that is very nicely documented. The car was first test drove on July 28th, 1977. The loan was approved on the 29th, and the final purchase was complete on the 1st of august 1977. The purchase price was $5894 and the original owner traded in a green 72 Chevelle SS, a $1,100 toward the total price. It was bought brand new at Dana Chevrolet in South Deerfield, Mass. Dont let the location fool you, the car had the Ziebart undercoating applied in September of 1977 when the car had just 2000 miles on it. The bank lien was released on April 23rd of 1979. And on November 2nd 2007 he sold the car with just over 62k miles on it. The second owner has done a lot of maintenance work as well as a brand new paint job as of June 2010 which cost over $7,000 so you know it was done right. This is one of the best documented cars we have seen. This car came with the 4 speed transmission along with a 3.73 posi trac rear makes it a lot of fun to drive. The interior is mostly original and show very well. This is a car you will be proud to take to several car shows and cruise ins. This vehicle is located in our Charlotte, NC showroom.
